Hi all, I’m really panicking right now. I got in, and have been going through onboarding. An MA is not mandatory for my program, and there are others in my cohort who do not have an MA and went straight in from a BA. I had a very close family member pass away suddenly during my MA, and with dealing with funeral arrangements and settling his will, I took an incomplete. I was under the impression that my incomplete had been finished and that I was all set (even walked at graduation), but I just checked my old institutions portal, and it says it’s not complete. Again, I’m really freaking out, I’ve emailed the director of the PhD program but haven’t heard back yet. What do I do? Am I going to be kicked out of the program? Have you ever seen anything like this before?

Hi all! I hope you’re doing well and dry, I was talking about this issue with one of my friends from another part of the city and was wondering if this is a wide-spanning problem. One of my relatives is in a nursing home, and with the cost of everything getting higher, the nursing home has gone from giving them 3 meals a day to 2 meals a day, and is saying that they can go to a nearby grocery store if they’re still hungry. Apparently she’s having the same thing happen at her relatives place. Is this across the city?

Hi all, I hope everyone is well considering the state of the world. My dad is 65 and lost his job last September and cannot seem to land another contract. He doesn’t have a degree and has been working in computers since the 80s, so that was an obstacle but wasn’t a full restriction until the recent AI recruiter score mess going on. He can’t walk too far, so he was working half remote, half in-person. Does anyone know what he could do to make money? He has debt and little to no retirement savings, and has been selling some of his stuff on ebay for a few hundred bucks here and there. I suggested doordash (which I’ve also done, but that makes less and less money these days with more people turning to it). If anyone has any experience with situations like these, I am terrified and really need some advice. (also please be kind)
