Just moved from oxio to ebox and regretting it, coverage has been crap, looking for new router recommendations

I was on an ancient Oxio plan for like 60mbps and it worked just fine, but as I was just moving to a new place I realized it was insanely overpriced compared to what’s available out there

So I decided to go with ebox and get fibre, might as well right?

Well it’s been a week and Ebox has significantly underperformed; my new place is only 1 room bigger and yet I cannot for the life of me get good signal in the living room (which is opposite to the office where the router lives), my smart TV doesnt work properly anymore, and I hate it

Option 1 is switching providers again and going to Fizz (I don’t like dealing with contracts with the big players) but I work from home and would like to not have to deal with the downtime

So I guess option 2 is buying a new router, which is what im here looking for recommendations for

I’m also not super IT savvy so I’m wondering how hard it is to switch to a new router, is it DIY-able for a girl with very little interest in this side of tech?

thanks in advance!

[Offre | Offering] 1985$ - 4½ - Saint-Henri - Lease transfer, appliances + AC included, hydro/internet excluded, pet friendly (dogs/cats), private backyard or parking

Hi all; I'm moving and looking to transfer my lease on a ground floor 2 bedroom (4½) in Saint-Henri. I've been here 4 years and genuinely loved it, so I'd like to find someone good to take it over.

The basics:

* Ground floor, 2 bed / 1 bath + private backyard

* $1,985/month (hydro and internet not included)

* Current lease runs until June 30, 2027

* 7 min walk to Place-Saint-Henri metro

* Pet friendly — dogs and cats welcome ($500 refundable pet deposit)

* Includes washer + dryer, fridge, stove, dishwasher, and central AC

* Lots of natural light, calm and friendly neighbours

* Backyard can double as private parking; some free street parking too

Timing: I'm flexible on the move-in. Could be as early as August 2nd, but ideally August 15th, or September 1st also works.

Happy to answer questions about the place, the area, or the building.

DM me if you're interested. Thanks!
