Hi, I’m reaching out as interested to hear professional opinions. I moved into my house 2 months ago and the shower has had no temperature control, except freezing or boiling hot. I’ve had the thermostatic valve replaced, which is what I was advised the problem was, but there was no change to the system. The taps to the sink and the bath all work perfectly fine and isolating the hot and cold water to the sinks didn’t affect the shower. I’ve had the boiler serviced too and the only way I’m able to use the shower is with the boiler temperature turned down, but this affects the kitchen sink where hot water is needed.

It’s all behind tiles and the bathroom was refurbished prior to the sale so I am hesitant to replace so soon, just looking for advice that I can pass on to a plumber in my area as recent hot weather has made the shower quite unbearable.
