Comfort meds

Well finally got my doctor to prescribe me some comfort meds to quit once and for all. Gabapentin, clonidine and trazadone. Can anyone speak to these especially trazadone?

Quickmd

For those of you who used quick MD. What provider did you see? Theres so many to choose from my worry is I will end up getting someone who is either just wanting to push suboxone or someone who is against suboxone. I’m trying to find someone open to both options if I decide to go one way or the other and don’t want to waste my money and be stuck you know?

Subs

Has anyone quit kratom with short duration subs? I’m talking like a weeks worth? I know the withdrawal from subs is worse than kratom but I’ve heard mixed things. Some say they got prescribed a real short run of it to get through the first week of acutes and they were fine after as far as no physical withdrawal and I hear others end up being on subs for months and have to taper off of them which defeats the whole purpose of getting off kratom.

Ophelia health?

Has anyone used Ophelia health by any chance? I asked about QuickMd earlier. My provider referred me to an addiction specialist Dr. that’s under my insurance however I couldn’t get an appointment till September 1st and idk if I can wait that long to quit. I wanna quit asap! Curious about Ophelia because it’s covered by insurance. Or if I should just wait till my appointment with the actual doctor in my town.

Tolerance when quitting CT

Hey guys I had a question about tolerance when quitting cold turkey. I was at 25-30 gpd when i first tried cold turkey. I made it 3 days, wish I would’ve stuck with it, but I didn’t jump right back to my original amount I’ve had 3-4 days at 10 grams, then a few at 8 and now 3-4 days muscling through 4-6 grams. Those days have been tough, just trying to make it to the weekend to try CT again. My question is, am I in for the same severity of withdrawal (does your current gpd really matter) or will my experience now be a lot easier than it was several weeks ago when I tried to jump from 25-30? Thanks!

Question about gabapentin and clonidine

Hey guys so I’m 48 hours in and it ain’t to bad the gabapentin and clonidine is at least letting me sleep normally. Obviously that’s not fixing the low motivation or lethargy but my question is, have any of you experienced withdrawal when getting off gabapentin? I was only prescribed 300mg once daily for 7 days and clonidine .1mg 3 times a day for 7 days but I’m not going to use the clonidine for more than 4 days because I know it makes me more lethargic.

Combating lethargy

I’ve come to realize throughout all my quits that the one thing that leads me to relapse before I ever get through it all (and I have got through several times) is the 4th day and on lethargy. I can usually deal with the RLS and little sleep etc. if I quit on a long weekend and by then they’re pretty much gone and then comes the feeling of weighing 1,000lbs coupled with the depression and so on and so fourth. I work construction so moving around at a snails pace on a job site feeling absolutely exhausted from doing no more then bending over to pick up a hammer sets me right off. Anyone have any advice or things they’ve found to work for this part of withdrawal??

Quit day, Dr. helping me out

So I told the doc I didn’t want to do subs so he prescribed me gabapentin, clonodine, and a flexoral (muscle relaxor). Can anyone else who has been prescribed the same protocol share their experience quitting this way?

Helper meds and Dr’s

How effective are the meds that doctors have prescribed some of you all? Night and day difference or barely noticeable? I’m not talking about subs or methadone. Everything else though. I’m at the point where I think this time around I’ll try whatever I can get. Made an appointment for Wednesday. Also what did you tell your doc so I can know how to bring this situation up to him?

CT to taper

So I mentioned before I went CT from 20 gpd for 4 days. Well the heat wave hit me at work digging and mixing concrete and the fatigue was pretty unbearable/unsafe (could be making excuses) but anyways I needed up getting some capsules and my plan has now become using only 5-6 gpd (less if I can get away with. Only taking what I need to work) and the stopping next weekend. My question is, how bad/long will the wd last or be coming off of 5 gpd? Surely not as bad at my 20gpd CT?

Thank you and update

Thanks to everyone who has always shared there advice and encouragement with me. Today would’ve been day 6 of CT from 20gpd however I was not out of the woods when I showed up to work yesterday and unfortunately with the job I have to do this week (hand trenching through rocky ass soil) at least this whole week and it’s 90 degrees where I’m at I either would have had to go home (couldn’t do that) so I made a promise with myself. I waited as long as I could, from 6am to noon, and took 1.5 grams to get me through the hardest part of the day. My tolerance is so low now from the 4 days of ct previously that it did allow me to push till the end of the day. I plan on doing this till Friday and resume. I know it sounds like an excuse but I was too weak. Strong enough though to limit it to that though. I’m hoping I won’t experience what I did jumping from 20gpd to nothing when the weekend comes.

Advice?

So today is day 4 of ct and I was in a bad place. Not bad enough to go drive to get some k but bad enough to where if I found some (I got rid of everything I thought) I would take it. Lo and behold I was getting dressed into some shorts I haven’t worn since last summer when I tried to taper using capsules and I found 4 capsules a gram a piece and i took them. Kinda worried that those 4 days are gone down the toilet now and I have to start over. I’m never going back to the smoke shop or even driving by it. Am I starting from square 1??

Middle of 72 hours into ct

20gpd for 5 months for context. Days 1 and 2 I went to the gym lifted about 50% of my normal working weight. Hit my macros each day. Today I feel the same as the other 2. Body aches restlessness, sleeping on and off at night. Today I woke up made breakfast, played the guitar for a bit and cut my hair and going to get some steps in and maybe hit chest. However the depression and lack of any emotion and irritability is enough for me to start researching tapering again but starting at a lower dose like 6 grams since maybe my tolerance is down from being at 3 days without it. Idk just talking out loud at this point. Has anyone done this?

16 hours in Ct

Like the title says I’m 16 hours in CT from 20 gpd and I’m headed to the gym to get some blood flow and movement going. Tired and heavy. But I will say I don’t feel anywhere near as bad this time around with the vitamin C protocol. At 12 hours in before I’d be dying already.

Anyone else?

I’m making this post to see how many of you have experienced this as well. I will preface this by saying my quit date is the 25th (tomorrow night being my last dose). Has anyone been using kratom as I have with little to no real side effects other than tolerance building and constipation for some time and then one day out of nowhere, things take a turn. With no change in daily intake. Like one day things are generally fine, then the next you have stomach issues (gas, bloating, diarrhea), anxiety, and overall just a general feeling of nastiness? It comes in waves. Take a dose, it’s fine once it kicks in for an hour maybe then it turns on you and it messes you up? Super weird, but I can’t wait to get off and clean this all out my system.

Help!

So idk how to say this but I guess I’m looking for some reassurance from some of you out there who have been heavy users for a while. I’ve been using 20 gpd sometimes less for 4 or 5 months and now I’m getting stomach issues and today was feeling super shitty dizzy with stomach issues and what not. However, I did take my illicit Dmaa pre workout today to which in combination with my kratom could have done that. I just got super paranoid and anxious after being on chat gpt and reading things like liver failure etc. I’m 28, healthy/active (workout everyday) eat clean, but now I’m extremely paranoid and worried I have liver damage or something. (Btw I’m quitting cold turkey next Thursday)

Stomach help

Thank you guys to those who commented there vitamin c stories. I was planning on loading next week and taking next Friday and the following Monday off work to cold turkey. The only problem is right now I’m having some serious stomach issues and just feeling all around terrible. I’m talking kratom lookin diarrhea for weeks and waking up every morning with bad stomach pain till I use the bathroom and just overall not good. I have to make it till next week before I quit otherwise I’d quit today (need to work the weekend to be able to take off next) is there ANYTHING I can do to help my stomach health while still using kratom till next week? What have you guys used? (I’m taking about 15-20 gpd)

Success stories?

Can I get some liposomal vitamin c success stories? I’m going to begin the protocol mid week next week and make the jump over that weekend.
