Therapy Best Practices

Read an interesting suggestion today to gather "best practices" from your field (from the James Clear newsletter). Made me wonder what best practices we would all list. As an example:

  1. Discuss scheduling and billing at the beginning of a session rather than at the end--one never knows where a session will go, and taking the last 5min to update a credit card number or try to find a time to reschedule next week's session, is often undesirable.

  2. Don't sleep with your client.

*Note: best practices listed here not necessarily listed in order of importance

4" Drop Leaf Springs

I'm considering (pretty set on) a 4" drop for my 1998 c1500 (extra cab short bed). I've heard the hangers are a pain in the butt and I don't like pains in my butt. Why are shackles and hangers the default drop for 4"?

My guess is they're a bit cheaper than the leafs (belltechs are $225 ea) and you keep more load capacity...but other than that, is there a reason not to go leaf drop?

If I decide I need to haul or tow I can always add helper bags later (though that adds $$$ and pains in butts). If I'm one of those many folks who supposedly decide 4" isn't enough I would have to find some stock leaf springs for an axle flip (I wouldn't want a 10" drop for sure). But other than that....why not go leaf springs?

You can buy a 2025-2026 Lyriq 100kWh battery for $1.2k

Someone want to try it & get back to us? For reference similarly sized packs go for $10-20k. Surely they missed a zero

Dear experts--save me from insanity.

Bought this split entry house w/ 2 bathrooms 4yrs ago, put in a washer/dryer at that time. Everything's worked silently since, except within the past week or two I've noticed an occassional water hammer from my washing machine (downstairs), and now anytime any of the sinks (kitchen, either bath--all upstairs) are turned on, there's a 1-2 second *duhduhduhduh* sound. It ends faster if you turn the water on quickly, goes slower if you turn the water on slowly.

What the heck has happened? And how do I fix it?
