Hey it’s me the bday kids dad! I just bought a new stem to bring the bars a little closer for my guy… had to buy an adapter and thought two bolts would be more secure than the trek issued adapter. 🤞we shall see

Remember getting THAT bike as a kid? Some of us got that bike… and some of us didn’t. 🙋‍♂️
Thanks to this group, I’ve learned a ton about hardtails and was able to give my middle kid something he never expected.
Money is tight, so I picked up some weekend work, and it gave us enough to snag this 2021 Trek Roscoe 7 in absolutely pristine condition. Not. One. Scratch. He genuinely thought it was brand new. (I wish I could’ve told him it was)
This kid lives on his bikes. If he’s not at the skatepark, he and his buddies are out shredding Mt. Diablo. Seeing the smile on his face when he realized this bike was his made every extra hour of work worth it.
Can’t wait to see where this bike takes him. He’s absolutely loving it.

Was trimming the petg body and after I washed off the debris it slipped out of my hand… and… might become a convertible idk … just want to build one and enjoy it without life doing its thing.
