Small acne suddenly started 2 months ago and now keeps coming back — please help! (Engagement in 2 months)
Hi everyone, I really need some advice because I’m honestly getting very stressed about my skin.
My skin has always been quite clear. I normally only get 1–2 small pimples before my periods, but around two months ago, I suddenly started getting lots of tiny bumps/acne all over my face. It started around my period and initially they were very small.
I used one of those acne/whitehead remover sticks at home and they improved temporarily, but the bumps kept coming back. I then consulted a homeopathic doctor, who said it could be due to hormonal issues and eating too much oily/fried food.
But it’s been almost two months now and the problem is still not resolving. The acne comes and goes — sometimes my skin looks almost normal, and then suddenly I get another breakout. Some of the pimples are also leaving dark/black marks behind. Now I can actually feel lots of tiny bumps/acne all over my face.
My periods are due around now, and for the last two days I’ve suddenly developed some bigger, more inflamed pimples as well.
I started using Clinsol (Clindamycin) cream yesterday and Aziderm 10% (azelaic acid). Is this combination okay, or could it make things worse?
I know the obvious advice will be “see a dermatologist,” and I completely understand that. I actually have tried looking into private dermatologists, but consultations here are around ₹1,000–₹1,200, and honestly, if I spend that much just on the consultation, I’m worried I won’t be able to afford the actual treatment/medicines afterwards.
I’ve already tried a lot of things and nothing seems to be stopping these breakouts. I also have my engagement in about two months, so I’m really hoping to get this under control by then.
Has anyone experienced something similar — sudden tiny acne/closed comedones that started around periods and then kept recurring? What actually helped you?
Please be kind 😭 I’m genuinely looking for practical advice, especially from people who have dealt with something similar.
