I cannot for the life of me set my pwm fans to spin according to my bios settings.

I have purchased all parts 2nd hand and need to know if this mobo needs to be returned.

I have the MSI b450i AC with a 4 pin pwm fan used on the cpu header on the mobo. In bios I set the appropriate settings (smart fan control enabled, pwm enabled and CPU source select) but the fans in both CPU and sys headers spin at 1000rpm. If I set the fans to DC they stop spinning entirely.

I have removed all software that can control the fans and only have core temp running to see temps in windows.

HELP PLEEEEASE!
