Three Bar Frame ID Help

I picked this up today at the flea market. There is no head badge or branding. The serial number is stamped in the bottom bracket - H573068

A quick web search did not return any identifying result off a pic or the serial number. Just curious if anyone knows what it might be?

I’ll likely be building this up when I finish a couple of things I have going now.

Two New Acquisitions for Klunker or Rat Builds

I spent Saturday and Sunday burning up the roads and found a couple of great candidates for Klunker and/or Rat Bike builds. I also picked up a couple of potential parts doners and a couple of nice GTs that are ready to ride. All-in-all a great weekend.

The candidates are 24” JC Higgins tank bike and a 26” Hawthorne Flyer which looks to share a frame design with the Spaceliner or similar with a split top rail.

I am new to building Klunkers, so the process of determining the build pan is taking me down a million rabbit holes lol. I am hopeful that these will end up as cool bikes that fun to ride. Really looking forward to the process and the rides;)

I welcome any input.

Requesting Primer on Crankset Conversion

I have never done a crankset conversion and I am struggling to get my head around the right equipment. Bike: 63 Schwinn 3 Speed Traveler

Scope: I want to run a 3 piece crankset with the original 3 speed hub

I have purchased this bottom bracket converter: https://a.co/d/0bj1dIC4

Now, I am looking for info or a good resource to help determine the following;

  1. How do I determine the spindle length/type I need.

  2. How do I determine the appropriate crank length

I have no problem learning as I go and making a mistake along the way is just part of it. I’m just having hell trying to find my jump off point. Any help or direction to your favorite resource is much appreciated.

Worth It? Frame ID’s? Good for a Build?

I have a line on this 3 bar frame for $50. No details on what it is. Any thoughts on whether it’s with it or not? Any idea on what it is?

The tank bike is also up for grabs but I am really after 3 bar bike.

Any thoughts / input appreciated.

New Project 1963 Schwinn Traveler 3 Speed S6 Wheel Swap Question

Working on this 1963 Schwinn Traveler 3 Speed. I am considering a change in front wheel for better tire options. If I am not running front brakes, is there wheel size that would switch with the S6 for a complete wheel swap?

If needed I might try a fork swap but not 100% yet.

The first pic is where things stand presently after doing a quill stem adapter, and adding some BMX bars and stem I scavenged from A Fit Bike Co rid I got at the pawn shop. The second photo is what it looked like when I picked it up at the flea market.

Likely looking at a 3 piece crank swap as well. Looking for a cool saddle option but may just go for a sweaty Brooks.

Looking forward to finishing this and cruising the neighborhood.
