I’m tremendously confused by the commentary we’ve seen from BMW about future manual models, and with the current G80 handschalter not receiving a power bump - even to Competition levels.
Why don’t they simply request a spec / bid from either ZF or Getrag to produce a transmission (or more likely select a clutch) that can handle 600+ ft/lbs of torque?
We all know there are ample aftermarket options, so either BMW is choosing to make the manual car less potent, or they aren’t putting the right pressure on their suppliers. What gives?
