Engagement ring with stone?

Engagement ring with stone?

My fiancé and I (butch4butch) got engaged all the way back last December, but we're both really indecisive about rings so we still have our placeholder ones.

I had originally wanted a band to serve as both a wedding and engagement ring, but have started leaning towards a ring with a stone for an engagement ring. I've been secure in my butch identity for a hot sec and wear rings sometimes, but not typically ones with sparkly stones.

Have any of y'all not tolerated "sparkly" jewelry on yourself and ended up being able to like and embrace it as engagement or wedding jewelry? I'm looking at sleeker, more artistic/dynamic designs that aren't crazy eye catching, but am almost...self conscious? potentially? about wanting a ring with some fire to the stone and am worried about it looking out of place on me as I'm pretty masculine. I just like pretty rocks man, I don't know.

This is the current one I'm looking at for ref, I'd love opinions on the style of that one as well :-)

Are there any underlying diagnoses you'd suspect in a patient very sensitive to medications acting on serotonin?

Basically title. I've had oddly strong reactions to several meds over the years now that made me go "flat" at best without access to my typical behavior or emotions and threw me into the worst depersonalization/dissociation episode I've ever had by far at the worst.

These were unusually small does of typically well tolerated meds (Lexapro, Prozac, and buspirone— believe they were all 5mg doses).

My current psych seems to think I may be unusually sensitive to medications that modify serotonin. I'm diagnosed with MDD, dysthymia, ADHD, and social anxiety disorder and recently discovered that what I've thought was "executive dysfunction" and typical depressive slowdown was in fact catatonia if that helps.

I was curious if anyone had seen this and in what patients as my diagnoses have always been a bit tentative other than the ADHD. I'm currently on stimulants and my psych is wanting to trial on baby dose of Abilify (1mg) to see if that helps anything.

Wellbutrin had a similar effect eventually, but was more helpful at first and took a higher dosage to start to produce the "flattening"/blanked out robot effect. The other meds either did so immediately (buspirone was the most dramatic) or within a week to the point where I felt unsafe continuing as I felt totally removed from myself, flat, and suicidal in a way that made me not really trust my own safety. For context, I'm stable that way otherwise and not any kind of a danger to myself.

Help choosing a ring for the mega indecision paralysis afflicted?

My fiancé and I are helping to choose rings for one another— however, we're both prone to indecision paralysis. This has resulted in a lot of us browsing and trying on rings, but we ultimately still have the "placeholder" $20ish Etsy rings we started with and have been engaged for the better part of a year now.

We're finally getting somewhere with them, but I have a few too many options going on still.

I added some rings I'm looking at to see what y'all think, but am very open to suggestions as well.

Characteristics I'm looking for in a ring:

-Nautral stone with no heat treatment
-Under a carat, ideally something like 0.5-0.75kt
-Platinum or white gold
-Very light (almost colorless) blue sapphire, white sapphire, or natural colorless to blue-ish or gray-ish tint (or maybe salt and pepper with the right design) diamond
-Favorite shapes and cuts are freeform/organic, trillion, antique cushion, pear, and rose cut
-Some fire in stone but not "too" large or shiny— think unique and pretty without being overly eye-catching
-Low-profile stone/setting that won't catch on things
-Dynamic or artsy designs without too much clutter
-2mm to 3mm ish band
-I'm a butch lesbian and tend to present pretty androgynously, so nothing that would look wildly out of place on my finger; this one is a little harder to define as I don't mind pieces with some sparkle and do want a ring with a stone for an engagement ring, but halo and pave bands and big stones are examples of things I really don't like on myself
-Tend to like taper/ bands that aren't all one width and split shank but not married to either (ha)
-Would prefer to support a business that is either LGBTQ-owned or openly expresses support/is known to work with the community if possible + one that ethically sources their stones

Thank you so much for any insight!!

Some kitten miscalculations were made when my girl was first learning to be an inside cat and judge furniture height.
