NBD! Undertaker 35 Years Deadman Belt
My first new belt day in years. Took advantage of the clearance sale. I like it! Kane needs a cool tribute belt.

I'm watching LU on youtube and I forgot how bad the original title looked. I wonder who has it. Looks easy to 3d print 😅
The bar that usually pops up when I'm typing that gives the option of speak to text and the on screen keyboard stopped coming up. I can't get it to reappear even after a restart.
Is it just me or does it sound like music that would play on the weekly forecast of the Weather Channel? I was listening to it and was brought back to my youth when my mother would just watch the weather channel while I played my GameBoy.
AEW and WWE just haven't been doing it for me lately. I also feel like the dumb fan rivalry has also driven me to distance from either brand at this point. I've found myself actually seeking out the smaller promotions to enjoy. I've actually been enjoying JCW and MLW more than I expected to. Hell I even enjoyed watching a recent NWA show despite being sad about how small NWA has become.
In 2002, Tommy Dreamer walked out to defend his hardcore title against RVD. The belt he walked out with was a janky custom belt. A New York License plate attached to a European title belt. A funny take on it, but the idea of a license plate themed belt intrigued me for years. Back in 2012 I had hand drawn a concept but it was lost years ago after several moves. Now I was able to sit down and recreate it. Yes I used ai. No I don't care what your thoughts on ai are.
Tonight my wife picked the movie and it was 2001's Rat Race. A star-studded comedy starring some pretty big names. My wife hyped this movie as one of her favorite movies ever. Somehow I had never seen it before. Let me just get this out of the way and say the only thing more surprising to me than the fact that this POS got made is the fact that I kept seeing people saying it's good and that it "holds up". We start 5 different character arcs with Rowan Atkinson as a comic relief character, and we follow them as they are randomly picked to participate in a race to win $2 Million, which is also just a long gambling bit from casino owner/hotel owner John Cleese and other bad rich men. But don’t expect any of these character arcs to really be resolved in the film.

Brekin Meyer and Amy Smart act as a pseudo love story with the only half-assed resolution, as Brekin’s character Nick is shown as a non-risk taker and he finally takes a risk with the hot (for 2001) girl. Then you Have Whoopi Goldberg playing a hopeful, positive vibe woman (which Whoopi can NOT play convincingly) trying to reconnect with a daughter she gave up. So you’re like, yeah this will be the heart of the film, a mother and daughter reconnecting through shenanigans, but all you get is a moment where they both order the same drink, then ridiculous shenanigans. No showing of any relationship built at all.

Seth Green and Vince Vieluf play brothers who are pretty much get rich quick swindlers. We know little about their relationship and little is built up beyond Seth is the smart one and Vince is the idiot who cant talk because of a bad diy tongue piercing. Then they try to shoehorn some kind of touching heartfelt moment where Vince’s character mumbles something about “What would mom do?” to convince Seth Green’s character to give up this money to charity.

Do we get any actual resolutions in this film? Does John Lovitz learn his family is more important than money? No. Does Cuba Gooding Jr. learn to not worry about what people think of him? No. Instead we get them stumbling into a charity concert with Smashmouth, in case you forget this movie is from 2001. Do the main characters get any money in the end, develop meaningful relationships, have important revelations about themselves? No but Smashmouth plays All Star while they all dance on stage.

This film feels like a couple of guys forgot they had a script due Monday and sat in a room over a weekend and shat out this script. Then the studio took it, realized they had a nothing script, and instead of scraping it or delaying it for rewrites, they just thought they could cram a group of popular actors into it and it would just work. This movie had a budget of $48 Million. That’s a big budget for a comedy in 2001 and I’m sure most of that was paying the main cast. The film could have been easily fixed too. Cut out Cuba Gooding Jr. completely as his story is dumb, the I Love Lucy bit was not worth the time, and he’s not a very good comedic actor anyways. Also, get rid of Brekin Meyer, and Amy Smart because they added little to nothing. Amy Smart’s character has a bit where she chases a cheating boyfriend in her helicopter while enraged, and I’m sure girls got a good chuckle out of it, but it was a long waste of however long the sequence (which was too long) went on for. All just to give a reason as to why they lose the helicopter and slows them down from potentially winning. Cut those out and then you have space to grow these arcs a little bit and you might have a comedy with substance instead of this hollow shell trying to bank off the success of Road Trip (2000). I also feel the most criminal thing about this movie is it’s the only time I have seen John Cleese unable to be funny. He tried, he obviously tried to bring humor to his character, but the writers gave him nothing to work with.

I disliked this movie so much, my wife and I got into a fight about it. She so badly wanted me to like this movie that she was devastated when she could tell I didn’t like it. Then she made the mistake of asking why.

Got bored one night and decided to play with AI designing belts. I had an idea for a Bret Hart Tribute Belt. The bars were supposed to be more like the pink and black flames on his tight but I couldn't quite get there.
While my M12HD Joycons work pretty well when used in handheld mode but they struggle in wireless connectivity. My Switch 2 is about 8 feet away from my sofa and I get hit with these moments of massive lag. Sometimes so bad I have to reconnect the controllers in settings. And if I sit cross legged and my leg is between the console and controller it just gets worse.
I also tried the charging grip and I tried playing with it plugged in and the controllers disconnected and the right joycon refused to connect until I unplugged the grip again. It does appear to be mostly the right joycon that gives me issues but today the left tried to have issues too. They're currently up to date firmware wise. Is anyone else having these kinds of issues?
-I work for a smaller company in an industry that I really love for almost 4 years now. Recently our store manager accepted an offer to be the store manager at a different location for more money. I sent an email to the owners and general manager about my interest in sitting down and discussing me possibly taking over at my location as my store manager and coworkers have said I'm their preferred choice. My current manager said he did tell the owners that I could do the job and would do well. I sent the email on the 11th, but haven't heard back. I've considered two options for my next attempt.
Do I:
A- Simply send a follow-up email reiterating my interest in becoming the next store manager?
B- Show up to the store they use as a headquarters to force the conversation and explain how employees, customers, and vendor reps want me as the next store manager?
It's a small company with only 3 locations. There are no assistant managers and I already have impressed them with the work I've done on our social media which was practically non-existent when I first took it over.
