The guy I like got broken up with
This is miso soup I had for dinner today.
So, there's that guy who I met couple of months ago in a hobby community. We had an instant connection, spend two hours discussing our similar interest. There was some flirting involved (clarification: it was me who was flirting!), and later he disclosed he had a girlfriend. No boundaries were crossed, we agreed on being friends and kept talking from time to time. Not everyday (like, maybe every two weeks) and not for long, so no emotional infidelity either.
A couple of days ago he messaged me and as a result of that we agreed that I'll try to make a simple website for his live role-playing game which he's trying to make. So we talked a lot about that. And then today he asked if it's ok if he shared something, and then proceeded to tell me his girlfriend broke up with him out of the blue. First he was just venting, but later there was some heavy flirting involved and some hints dropped. He's distressed about the break-up, but it feels like the thought of dating me had crossed his mind.
I'd totally date him, to be honest. He's gorgeous, pretty smart and I like the way he talks about people, women especially — he's respectful and kind. Also, before all of that I invited him to my birthday party, which is in a couple of weeks, and he agreed. So I think I'll wait until then and then see if he makes a move (and what the general vibe is). I'm nervous and excited, honestly. Ofcourse if nothing happens it'll be fine too. He's a cool guy and I like being friends with him regardless. But it's been years since I liked someone that much and who maybe liked me back (well, I know he does like me to some extent). Yeah. Just wanted to share.
