What do you think of the good and the beautiful kindergarten language arts, did it work for your kids?

I really wanted to go with logic of English but it’s out of our budget right now. Maybe half way through the year .

I’m reading this book from the 1931. Sunday school book. How come did so many Christians here in the US became so racist? if the religion doesn’t talked about racism. This is a church school book from the 1930s.

Moving to Mexico, my kids are homeschooled and I don’t know if it is legal or not there.

Hi guys I’m Mexican but I came to the US when I was little, my kids are homeschooled here in Texas but we will move to Mexico next year, I’m not sure how long we will stay there since we are going to support my mother in law who needs us (she’s sick). I don’t want my kids to go to public schools there or here, or anywhere unless I had the possibility to move to NZ or Finland lol . So I have been looking into the laws of homeschooling there, and it doesn’t say anything about the right to educate children at home. Help! Is it illegal?

Teach a child to read.

Hi guys! Has anyone here used the Foundations A & Core Materials Bundle to teach your children to read? If so, was it worth it? What program or curriculum did work for your children? I hope someone answers. Thank you.

I have a niece (public school, we can’t do homeschooling right now because our jobs, it is just not possible)she will be in 5th grade this fall and today I sat down with her to discuss her schoolwork since she is one of the top of the class, her and my sister have mentioned to me multiple times and I came to visit her from another city. but unfortunately we discovered she doesn’t know how to do multiplication without a damn chart they do that is so confusing. She doesn’t know her multiplication tables (which I find odd since I memorized those since I was in 1st grade; in my home country we started the memorization of them in the end of 1st grade like 3-4 months before 2nd grade , basically you can’t do math without the multiplication tables !!!)So I told her she must memorize them over the summer and I will help her. What else can I do to help her improve? What curriculums do you recommend for someone her age? (She’s 10, going into 5th grade this fall). I can’t believe how is she one of the top students if they basically don’t know how to do basic arithmetic. But I want her to actually learn it without the whole nonsense and over explanation.
