My cat’s acne has been getting worse, It started near his whiskers and migrated to his chin and it keeps getting bigger.

First vet gave me a mix of Vaseline and sugar and told me to rub his chin with it daily which I didn’t trust and when I asked for something else he gave me “miconazole 2% orange flavor” so I switched to another vet which told me to just brush it off with a flea comb and it will resolve.

It’s been over a month and I feel bad for him and I don’t know what to do

I use ceramic plates and I clean them after every meal and I make sure his water is always fresh.

I saw some people recommend vetericyn and Chlorhexidine wipes but I read that Chlorhexidine is toxic to cats so I’m not sure on what to do

Is it supposed to be absorbed fast ? I’ve seen people apply it and it lasts overnight

It was gone a couple of minutes after I applied it
I had some on my hands and elbows as well and it got absorbed all the same.

I know my skin is pretty dry especially that the weather here is also dry and hot but I don’t know if that’s related to how fast it got absorbed
