Sweet potato perfume recs?

I just got out of the shower with a conditioner containing sweet potato (Lush's Power conditioner) and oh my god it smells so good. The matching perfume from Lush doesn't have either the sweet potato or the almond oil notes (it does have vanilla, tonka, benzoin, turmeric, spices, and a smooth smokiness), so I am looking for sweet potato perfumes that could match/dupe/harmonize with the same scent.

Cinnamon Spiced Latte BS First Impressions

Background: I love Turmeric Latte perfume, Power conditioner, Champurrado shower cream from last year, pumpkin spice in general, and I hate patchouli and scents that use it.

I finally made it into an in-person Lush and got to sniff the Cinnamon Spiced Latte body spray. First of all, it is a LOUD scent. It is very strong and very intense, it fills the nose right away. Just spraying it on a test strip made the entire store smell like it for several minutes. This is not 'watered down' in the slightest!

Second, the scent is very spicy and very lactonic without any sugar or sweetness at all. The spices are bold and dark, without being identifiably 'pumpkin spice', and there's no pumpkin notes at all. The milky quality of the scent is also very loud and very strong, without being sweet or smooth at all. It's not exactly jarring, but it is a very distinct pairing.

Third, this scent is very much unlike any spicy gourmand. Turmeric Latte has a well-rounded smoothness to it, a richness that works with its turmeric/spice/smoky notes. Cinnamon Spiced Latte is not rounded at all, it's spiky and sort of sharp. It is an un-gourmand spicy fragrance, which is strange, given its name. Why not just call it Cinnamon Spices? Or something with just fall? (It is also not especially focused on the cinnamon, which is annoying, as cinnamon is one of the best spicy scents IMHO). I also did not get any coffee notes, whether espresso, black coffee, or actual milk-in-coffee.

Four, the milky quality to the scent will probably be very polarizing. In my experience, a lot of people perceive things that smell like milk as sometimes souring on their skin, and with some people's body chemistry lactonic things can also smell just plain not-right, or like body odor. I think this is part of why this scent has been divisive.

Overall, if you really like un-sweet spices and do not mind heavily lactonic notes, I think this may be worth trying out. I think they might reformulate it again next year to actually be more well-rounded and/or have some sweet vanilla and/or tonka notes, which would definitely help make it more palatable to more people. I would also hope that they put actual pumpkin.

Moominvalley First Impressions Review

I recently bought the Moominvalley perfume review and have mixed emotions. For background, my preferred perfumes are minty, fruity, and sweet; my adored Lush perfumes so far have been Dirty (both versions), American Cream, Twilight, Vimt-no, Butterball, and Turmeric Latte.

I was on the fence about buying this initially, because of some of the comparisons to Milky Bath. I have never smelled MB, but I hate patchouli to the point of gagging. I cannot compare this new scent to Milky Bath, but I can confidently say it smells nothing like patchouli or even like vegetation, grass, or forest/rain (which can be nice).

The perfume came very quickly and was packaged beautifully. The box is so cute itself, and the bottle art is adorable and detailed, with scenes both on the inner back label and the front label interacting to look like a three-dimensional view of the Moomin Valley. I love the attention to detail and will love displaying this.

The perfume, on initial spray, is Soapy with a capital S. It is very strong and you don't need more than a spray or two. It didn't smell citrusy or sweet to my nose at all, nor were the sandalwood or lavender notes able to be picked out of the overall scent. It's not 'floral' in either the 'classical designer perfumery' way or the 'photorealistic flowers way' (a la Death and Decay). This is a very strongly 'blended' perfume, and it reminds me less of airing out sheets on a clothesline (which I have never done but do know the smell of from traveling) or of warm fresh clothes than it does of very fancy soap bars. There's a sense of 'expensive' from those delicately carved soaps, and this perfume also smells expensive to me. It smells nostalgic, like my glamorous, thoughtful, always-put-together grandmother's home, in which we were always welcomed, always loved.

The two sprays lasted 6+ hours easily, and did not at any point devolve into plain vanilla or 'guess that's a perfume' kind of smell, but did wash off with a normal shower. While I'm not normally into smells this soapy, I think this will be an interesting and worthwhile addition to my collection. It feels more like a spring scent than a summer banger to me (that's my OG, Dirty), and I'll probably display it next to Nosferatu, which is also a spring (and autumnal) scent but is otherwise the polar opposite.

Is the Moomin body spray app only?

I can see that the other products are avaliable on the app first, but is the body spray *only* going to be on the app?

The Good Hour Shower Jelly Review

I recently got The Good Hour shower jelly to complete my Lush shower rainbow for June. My store only had one left and one out for testing/smelling, and by one sniff and a glance at the ingredients I was sold; I love mint and eucalyptus, and even in the aroma-crowded environment of a Lush store the mint and eucalyptus notes sang.

The jelly comes in a clear pot and is a very dark, blackened green, like the color of rich foliage at sunset. It holds together and jiggles in the most amusing and delightful way. I scrub the underside of the jellies against my loofah to use them, and like most Lush jellies this one foamed up nicely.

The smell is bracingly green, absolutely wonderful. The eucalyptus and peppermint combine to make a lovely clean scent, very soothing and powerful. The suds cooled my body down quickly and strongly, leaving a feeling of dipping into ice water for more than an hour. When Lush says something is 'cooling', they are not fucking around. It was incredibly strong and so nice. I'll definitely be using this often in these relentless furnaces of summers!
