Random question: how do vietnamese people feel about emos?

Hey! After I told my mum I wanted to live in Vietnam when I'm older she told me that I'd get butchered for my fashion sense.

now obviously she's just being silly because she doesn't know anything about Vietnam but it made me wonder, are there much alternative people in Viet Nam and how do people react to it?

Should I learn Northern or Southern dialect?

Xin chào! I want to learn Vietnamese from scratch because I'm fascinated by it, but I'm completely lost. Before I even try to learn it I want to choose a dialect to learn.

I don't know any vietnamese people in real life to help me with this question, but I have a British accent, so which dialect will be easier? I don't even know if it works like that, I don't really know anything 😭

I see that there are alot of resources on Northern dialect but which one is more efficient?

Cảm ơn rất nhiều!

On my brother's behalf: Thai or Korean?

Hey! My brother has no comment Karma BC he's a noob but wanted to ask:

"I want to learn Thai because I will be going to thailand and I really like the language. Also, I know that in the future I would like to consider moving although I won't confirm because I am still young and not too sure. I am aware of the alphabet and the tones and rules and it doesn't bother if I'm motivated, otherwise there would be no point in learning.

I want to learn Korean because I also find the language interesting and have interest in visiting korea. but I would never live there so you guys might think it's pointless. I watch some Korean shows and listen to some Korean music but not too much and that isn't at all what makes me want to learn. I know about the hard grammar but again that doesn't stop me at all. I know hangul fully and some basic korean too. (although I still need to learn the batchim rules 😭)

it is a bit hard to pick one when I really want to learn both so I'm not getting anywhere with any of them"

Thank you for reading and I will tell him any advice that you may give <3

Where would be the best holiday destination in Asia for teens and adults?

Hi! In 2 years my family and I want to go on a holiday to Asia, since we've not yet explored it!! The youngest is 11 so it doesn't have to accommodate young kids but we were thinking Cambodia or Indonesia. Please let us know your thoughts
