And that's about it...

Have a few cards waiting to be shipped from the mint. Accepted that Mars will be my white whale and that's about it folks.

Now I just need to fund a puuurty box for the cards.

...back to pre-decimals for me.

1c and 2c coins.

Aaaand we are done. Not amazing to look at, but a set is a set. So it got it's own little home backed while I was sleeping 😁

10c and 5c homes are next.

I wish there were nice 50c and 20c push in albums 😪

I impulse bought a thing :/ Tell me I did ok lol (ram roll)

So I bought the 2026 Dawn Service premium mint roll. $120, I figured, eh, $20 over RRP and not like they are around and not like I don't collect anyway and when opportunity knocks... Whatever... But now I am thinking, should I have?

I now need comfort, hugs and reassurance :)

Brain fart, discuss

What's it worth post of the future.

So, the 2026 $1 the Mob of Six is all the rage today. However! It's a commonly minted coin. But the 'normal' Mob of Five is only part of the mint set, $40 as of right now, is that going to become the new 2016 changeover or more likely the new 2014 $1 ?

Discuss :)

Obverse set

Slowly putting together obverse type set, a few missing, but I'm not in a rush... From present day to 1910, once that's done, half and full sovereigns are next, not looking forward to it but also looking forward to it.

Today's noodling finds

Bunch of things... $350 worth of coins. I am hunting specific years, so I am going after 20c and 50c now.

Anyway, you probably expected something interesting, but alas, no, you're probably disappointed. Yeah... That's how I felt 🤣

Swap/trade events in Vic?

Are there any swap/trade events in Victoria? Or groups... I haven't seen anything on Reddit, but would be great to trade duplicates and maybe plug a few holes.

Help with "damage" assessment.

I'm trying to understand what could have caused this. The bottom of the right 'leg' on the letter R at the bottom is split.

It's a 1984 coin, so anything is possible, but i thought that something would leave marks around the area of it was a accidental damage or even intentional. Could it be manufacturing or something external later?

Any ideas?

Made a little set...

The beginning, the sort of beginning, the end and the 'why do I hate charles on coins' new beginning. Missing a couple, but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Maybe errors, maybe not, thoughts?

I have a few coins that don't look right, bit I think it's just me and late night brain... Thought I'd pop them here and see what you guy's think. By no means an expert in any of this, so advise is super appreciated.

$1 - 3rd roo, left front leg looks odd, but doesn't feel like damage during circulation.

50c - second coin in the stack, lobby horny dongle thingy on emus head looks bigger i think.

$2 - i have no freaking idea what's going on there. It's smooth and bevelled and feels like it's been sitting in some sort of a stream slowly getting polished or something, no tool marks or anything like that, just feels like it's very weird shape from just circulation wear.

Anyhow... Here they are, thoughts are appreciated.
