The kinds of stuff I can wear post op....

Got top surgery April 28, previously was 30J (humongous). I don't have to tell you how frustrating it was to have J cups (J for Jugs of Giants), and I couldn't even dream of fairy dresses. Today, I fit in this strapless (!!!!) size M gown I found at Goodwill.... I couldn't believe it. My body in a gown???

Now, get this: I found it the day before my 5th wedding anniversary. On my wedding day, I was braless with saggy breasts in a shapeless dress because it was Covid and I could only buy bras at a bra fitting studio. And for our anniversary, 5 years after, I get to show up like a blooming iris. My spouse also was amazing during my recovery, stripped my drains, fed me, and kept track of my meds, so this is a reward for both of us.

The top portion of the gown fits surprisingly well despite my lack of any boobage. The frills kinda make me look like I have A/B cups, which is fine with me! Honestly, how normal my body looks boobless was a huge surprise. Several people I knew didn't even notice I don't have them anymore. Anyway.... Got a big scoop of body euphoria today and wanted to share with people who understand it best.

A fairy dress that felt extra special...

This dress I snagged for 29.99 was a perfect fit. Except it wouldn't have been just a month ago... This was my first thrift outing since my radical breast reduction (a mastectomy), and with my previous J cup I could never dream of strapless fairy dresses! The euphoria I felt seeing myself in this dress is impossible to describe. And I found it 1 day before our 5th wedding anniversary!!!

P.S. the Venetian mask is a score from the same day — 6.99, from Venice, marked Karta ruga

A momentary gift from the sky

This wonderful comb cloud dissipated a minute after this photo was taken from E 14th. Looked like the sun was flirting with me, peeking through the droopy lashes nested in a halo. In the corner of the sky, more cloud crescents floated into the horizon.

I had debated taking a walk to Skinner after the movies but decided to head home — I can only imagine what the sky looked like from high up there

Organisations that help find jobs

I met a person who is in a tough situation (I know I know) and asked me for help finding resources. Can you folks suggest local organizations that can help a person find a job without an address (he lives out of his car)? I want to give him some phone numbers. I talked with him and he's a sober, chill guy. Thank you in advance! I got a little lost in all the options and couldn't find a list of things

Thrift find: should I become Dougie?

Edit to update: I went back and bought it (10 bucks). Good job y'all

Rethinking passing up on this Dougie blazer at a local charity thrift. This post is sponsored by my second morning coffee I'm currently enjoying

I had my surgery <24 hours ago (DI no nip). So far, the worst part was the Scopolamine patch, the one you place behind your ear pre and after surgery to help with nausea. I heard about them on this sub and ,asked mxy surgeon for it.

Something that no-one mentioned is IT MAY AFFECT YOUR VISION! In my case, it did: I can't read a book and barely see what I'm typing rn. Small things (letters ) get like a faint double shadow, and look "fuzzy" which makes it really hard to discern words...No one prepared me for this, so I wanted to share that it can happen and is really annoying. I see find at distance, it's just small stuff close to me with detail.

Strong # 2 in the list of least favorite experiences is.... not what you think! I have yet to go #2, maybe it'll make the list then. But really second worst experience was placing the IV. I had no idea it goes into tthe back of my hand , not mid-arm. It was pretty painful though quick.

The rest.... Was and remains a breeze! Speciial thanks to nurses and doctors, they were so kind and encouraging.

Whichever part of the top surgery you are going through, best of luck! And sorry for typos and bad syntax: I legit can barely read what I wrote
