Best way to preserve and spread this hollyhock?

Made a couple of posts about this hollyhock over the last few months. After seeing its full growth I’m really starting to enjoy having it in my garden.

What I’d like to do is figure out how to preserve the seeds it generates and grow more along this fence line for next year. From what AI told me, seems too early yet. Some petals are falling off but apparently I need to wait for the pod to turn brown, then plant the new seeds in September?

Any advice is welcome.

Best time to prune these hydrangeas?

The heads have still got some life to them so I don’t plan to any time soon, however I wondered if it would be worth cutting the heads off soon to allow for new growth?

They are starting to get wild in my planter and overtaking my other plants. Would I be okay to trim them down a bit after the heads go brown? Would it affect growth at all?

Best way to stop neighbours camera looking in my window?

Despite its location it can still capture part of our bedroom at the right angle, and due to it being a floodlight it can light up our room at night.

What can I do at the corner of my fence to block visibility? I was thinking of a trellis but not sure how to attach it to the fence without it looking weird.

Just for context this is our fence. We put it up after the neighbour was being a prat and we don’t talk, so reasoning with him about the camera is out of the question. Also, this is the side of our house and we will eventually have a bricked driveway.

Welcome to any ‘permanent’ solutions.

Best way to replace Range Rover logo?

Apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask, but I took my 2019 Evoque to a car wash the other day and noticed two of the letters had come off.

I bought a new set off eBay which looks like you just unpeal the foam pads and stick on, but I want to make sure I’m doing it correctly.

What’s the best way to clean off the old residue and stick the new letters on? Is there a special adhesive I should use? And are there any templates I can use to make sure the letters align correctly?

Thanks in advance.

What’s the best way to learn AI skills as a DevOps Engineer?

As the title suggests. I’ve been in IT for 14 years, 10 in system administration and infrastructure engineering, the last 4 have been around cloud and DevOps.

I recently started as a DevOps Platform Engineer for a top tech company. They’re basically an AI powerhouse and have multiple clients focusing on AI development.

I’m not looking to become an AI engineer, but instead I’d like to utilise what I currently know and support the build of AI platforms and actually understand the tech behind it. We’re doing a lot with Agentic AI at the moment.

I’ve already asked on Claude, but I’d like a personal suggestion. What types of courses or study paths can I follow to understand AI properly. I’ve already set up a Debian server with Docker and other tools to lab on. Just wondered if there’s any good GitHub content or tutors online that cover the basics?

Mystery plant is flowering

Update from my last post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/UKGardening/s/UJz1ohd6ze

Starting to see lovely white flowers blossoming on this plant. From recent feedback and further progress it looks like a white hollyhock rather than a tree mallow, but I could still be wrong. What do you guys think?

What plant is this?

It started off in my in-laws kitchen in a tiny little pot but I’ve since grown it into this monster. It’s in my smaller planter as I wasn’t expecting much growth. What is it and can I move it yet?

Is this a weed?

I get it. A weed is a plant you don’t want. But what is this exactly? My neighbour has it growing up my fence and trellis. I’m worried it will interfere with my clematis. Should I get rid of it?

Anyone here use Brave Origin?

I’ve switched from Windows 11 to Fedora and have been using Brave for some time. I know Brave and Firefox are the two biggest browsers on this sub. Just wondered who here has used Brave Origin and would recommend it seeing as it’s free on Linux? I value privacy and functionality overall.

Wha do you use to customise your desktop?

Im new to Fedora and Linux in general. I went for the KDE option as I come from a Windows background and have since found it very comfortable to use.

I want to know how you guys customise your desktops. Is there a pro method or is it just patience with a lot of configuration?

I’m downloading everything straight from global themes. I like Breeze and have since discovered that I can tweak various font and plasma options.

What I’m struggling with is customising the actual application windows and setting transparency options. I’ve tried downloading themes from the KDE themes website but I don’t put them in the correct folders. I’ve also heard people talking about tools like Klamath and Kvantum?

Could someone give me a simple guide on how to best customise my themes in KDE and what tools are available? I sound like a right noob at the moment but I’m just struggling. Any help is appreciated.

I have a Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum). My garden is south facing, and my tree faces the east so it gets the morning sun which I believe is fine for this variety. Why are the ends of my tree staring to die? Is this normal? I’ve pruned a few of them off but more keep showing.
