I took a $50k 401(k) loan for a home purchase in August 2025. Since I didn’t move forward with buying the house, I paid the loan back in full.

Now, in April 2026, I want to take another 401(k) loan, but the system won’t allow me to. I contacted customer support, but they couldn’t give me a clear answer. They just said they don’t see an option for me to take another loan in their system.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there usually a waiting period after paying back a 401(k) loan, or could this be related to my employer’s plan rules?
