Did I make a mistake buying them?

Was casually looking at sunglasses since the hinges of my long time sunglasses (Police) broke last year after roughly a decade of use. Picked a beater pair from Zenni (picture 1) but was looking to pick a decent quality one sometime. Prefer more understated, timeless and classic looks. Was thinking the Rayban Wayfarers RB2140 (pictures 2 and 3) for the longest time and recently purchased them, though they didn’t look quite as good as in the pictures as I’d expected. However, I tried out JMM Dealan 50s (pictures 3 and 4) for the first time and now I’m lost.

Suggestions, advice and opinions welcome on if I should/should not consider the JMMs in this specific colorway. Some things of note -

  1. I’ll be using prescription lenses
  2. I’m outdoors often and would like to not have to worry or baby my glasses too much when there.
  3. I asked and cannot get a refund on the Raybans.
  4. While the Raybans were completely covered by insurance, the JMMs will be an additional 900CA$ out of the pocket.

Sulfur Dealan as first JMM sunglasses?

Hi folks! Recently tried a few pairs of JMMs at a local store for the first time. Finally came down to the Dealan in sulfur or Sartre in the tortoise shell colorway. Everyone I showed videos to voted for the Dealan and personally they feel more timeless Abe classic as well. The shape suits my face better too. However, having never spent close to what the JMMs cost for a pair of glasses before ( I have a prescription), my hesitation arises from the oxidation concerns and the color not being as timeless as say the Noir colorway. The latter is minuscule in comparison since I still like the look of the sulfur however I’ll need replacement prescription lenses with the same tint which the store offers. Any advice on how to proceed? Are the oxidation concerns valid? Anything else I should be aware of?

P.S. I am outdoors a lot. In the sun, some rain and snow as well.
