Hi everyone, I have a ticket from DCA → SFO → TPE → SGN. The SFO → TPE → SGN portion (operated by STARLUX) was cancelled due to the typhoon in Taiwan, while the DCA → SFO leg is operated by Alaska Airlines.

If I request a full refund because of the cancellation, would I still be allowed to take the DCA → SFO flight, or would the entire itinerary (including the Alaska segment) be cancelled?

I also booked round-trip for this, would my return flight be cancelled if I get refunded? Thanks!

Booth has completely overhauled its essay questions this year, including a new prompt asking for a fun fact. What kind of fun fact would work best here? How seriously should I approach this question?

I’m wondering if a professional fun fact would work better.
