The new update to the merch store just hit and I’m gonna be honest, this is fucking ridiculous. They want me to pay $40 dollars for a 18 x 24 inch mass produced poster? Are we for real here - especially when other mass produced posters go for $50+?!
$9 for a keychain that has no Dropout branding but is an inside reference and could be made for pennies by a cheap 3D printers on Etsy if they got the materials drop shipped from Temu?
And the fact that at the bottom of the page of this new merchandise it encourages the very common offer of "you to buy a ton to get discounts if you buy more"? For $200 I get 15% off? And adding another $100 gets me 5% more and a free keychain? The generosity knows no bounds! I only wish there was an option to tip at checkout.
I know this fandom has a bad reputation for eating up dropouts' slop, yum yum but this is pretty unacceptable from any content consumer, and I’m honestly pretty fucking disappointed in this.
It's almost like Dropout, a small indie company, which is very generous in its offer of login shares, wants to make some money! Let’s all retire our legacy subscriptions and resub at the higher price.

After a seemingly innocuous question about which cast members are nonbinary, an investigation ensues, a redditor is banned, unbanned, and banned again after much controversy. This moment in time brought me to this subreddit, subsequently becoming a mod after a mass influx of mainsub girlies made their pilgrimage to the jerklands.
Many of the main characters of this story are banned, deleted, or simply gone, but I ask you to take a moment to remember them with me. And if you are nonbinary, trans, or otherwise gnc, and feeling unloved or ungoonable, know that I love you, and that there’s a weirdo somewhere on the internet just chomping at the bit to take screenshots of a 2 second scene of you with your shirt off from a niche microcelebrity streaming comedy website.

It’s been 30 minutes since the trailer for this weeks shows aired. I frantically refresh the mainsub, waiting, impatient. Someone will post some crazy bullshit about ify any moment now, I can sense it.
Suddenly there it is. Someone has posted a comment saying that the think my friend ify is a Sexual Predator despite him literally being a Regular Guy. I screenshot the offending comment and save it to my folder of all the racist things people have said about him. I don’t report or downvote the comment.
You think I would post the comment and gain those glorious clicks for myself, but I need to be careful. For my plan to work I need to seem cool and detached. I wait. My mother sends me a text asking if I applied to any jobs today. I don’t reply.
Finally, someone posts the comment. My chance to strike. In the comments I write the most heinous accusation against my compatriot, using buzzwords and language that have gotten at least 2 mods removed and dozens of people banned. The words flow from me with ease for some reason that I don’t have time to introspect about.
As I finish my comment I sit back and look, frowning, before adding “I’m white btw” to the end. Perfect. Now everyone will know this is le epic ironic racism and not real racism. I hit post.
