A timeline for the sinking of the RMS Monarch I did: the fictional ship I designed. An explosive set off in its cargo hold, causing it to sink rapidly while fires spread through the ship. It eventually capsized and sunk to the bottom of the Mediterranean.

Hey all! I finished the 1972 Poseidon Adventure Ballroom set, that I recreated in 3D. Loved making this as detailled as possible, going through hours of research and reference materials. Had a lot of fun creating the capsized version as well, with some extra VFX added there. This was one of my favourite movies as a kid, and I’m so happy with how this turned out.
I used Cinema4D and Redshift for the 3D modelling, and Photoshop/After Effects for post. It took several weeks to recreate, including watching the movie over and over again haha. Did love it tho! Will share a spread of all the separate models I created to fully shape the set.

Finished the base of the ballroom in my 3D model, with all the woodworks/statues etc. Next up will be the furnishings🤩
