Hi all,

Did a thing today and bought the TSons combat patrol and Sekhmet coven boxes after doing some research think they look pretty solid buys.

By the time I bring Ahriman in and Magnus I'm almost at 2k points. .

So couple of questions if I may - when is it worth having things leading rubric marines / Scarab Occult Terminators?

Are there any things I should be looking to drop / include?

I'm not going to be competing any time soon so casual friend games only so army doesn't have to be hyper competitive, I'm only just back at 40k, been playing Blood Angels but wanted an extra option and it was between TSons and Tau. Ended up choosing TSons...

From the videos I've been watching on YouTube we don't have much use of daemons outside of running the special detachment so was just wondering- should I finish with leaders on all my units or enhancements etc. Or is there something you would add.

Hi Brothers and Sisters....

TLDR: Help for essentially a noob in listbuilding etc has made my transition back to 40K so much easier and more enjoyable and I'm grateful for the community support.

I used to play back in 2nd ed as a teenager, but stopped, and through various means (Total warhammer, HH books etc) made by way back to tabletop.

I appreciate the "Building out from Armaggeddon" posts frustrated some people, I did search before I posted but there wasn't anything yet (I must have been early lol) BUT - I am genuinely thankful for the help I've had from the community along the way.

Last night I played my first game of 40K in 30 years, at 1500 points running LAG against the Necron Xenos filth.... (We both had 3DP detachments so balanced)

Pleased to report I won by tabling turn 3!

So what helped -

5 Stack Assault Terminators Deepstrike + Rapid Ingress was devastating

Lemartes + 10 Brick of DC Deepstriking into his backline was utterly disgusting, there was an Ork main, Wolves main at the table with us and even they couldn't believe how obscenely hard they can hit lol

Ballistus took out his Canoptek Doomwalker turn 1 (Definitely think this helped) but I probably wouldn't have known to have taken this without the community's guidance.

Baal Predator charging for the middle then dropping fire overwatch support to Dante and the Sanguinary Guard, again I wouldn't have known to have carried the Baal Predator without the help.

Honestly coming at the hobby from fresh is very overwhelming, there is a TONNE of stuff to consider. This is one new player who appreciates the established community responding to my ask and will endeavour to pay it back moving forward.
