Found an X1 carbon gen 5, for $100 nearby and LM was the cherry on the top!

I've been trying for over 2 weeks, 3 faxes and endless calls for one EIN. Anyone else recently lucked out on getting an EIN from IRS.gov website with an error?

Any suggestions?

So I just came across a brand new lineup of Ikea knives, and picked up the new 6" FJÄLLRÖDING prep knife on a whim, and after a little prep work I'm... pleasantly surprised for a $25 knife.

A few first impressions:

• ~2.9 mm spine, so maybe a bit of a cross between prep and honesuki. Zero blade flex.
• 10Cr15MoVCo labeled Damascus steel: we know 10Cr15MoV is very similar to VG10, but the addition of Co helps refine the grain structure, evenly distributing carbides, and improving matrix hardness (60-62HRC)
• 1 pin, oval Pakkawood handle
• Fit and finish are actually decent for the price.
• Edge was a bit uneven out of the packaging
• A quick strop and it cuts / wedges decently.

Obviously, time will tell how well it holds an edge and how tough the heat treatment really is. That's the part I'm most curious about.

Has anyone else picked one up yet? I'd love to hear long-term impressions, especially after a few sharpenings.

I have a local seller with this bunka, but I could use some ID. Any ideas?
