Grade biased based on attendance

Hey all, i took a class this summer, there was a class participation/attendance component.

I put a significant effort and a lot of initiatives on the group project component (separate from class participation), voluntarily produced more work there, which was not reflected on the grades - rather I got the lowest grade in the project part - due to late attendance. I have told the instructor this after final grades were released.

Also for attendance I am in my final semester giving interviews - they haven't excused me for any interview days or late attendance days, as it is not institute approved absence - which also reduced my grade.

I am only 2% away from the next grade.

Did anyone face this - if so how did you resolve this?

Is the colorsoft dimness actually this bad!?

I just ordered a colorsoft with bestbuy - wanting to upgrade from a kindle basic.
I noticed right away that the screen is soo dim. Sometimes I feel like my casio watch MIP is much more legible than the colorsoft eink without backlight..

It also has weird lighting bands in left side as opposed to even kindle basic. Is it expected of colorsoft!? To make things worse the screen reflectivity is more than the base kindle making the dimness even worse.. I cannot read anything without the backlight atleast half way dialed - and at that point i may as well read from an ipad..

I knew the kaledio 3 screen is dim, but its waaay dimmer than what the posts here makes it out to be.. attached some pictures comparing both kindle basic and colorsoft, colorsoft is even dimmer than in the pictures (maybe my phone camera does some hdr processing).

Also i dont weather to return it to bestbuy or check with amazon customer care - as the display is overall crappy (the lighting is uneven and all)

Comparison - Colorsoft is dimmer than in photo (my phone photo processing evened things out)

Kindle Basic

Kindle Colorsoft (dimmer than in the photo)
