If you have improved awareness for an early-stage startup via short-form videos, carousels, or similar formats, I would love to speak with you.
Or know anyone who has done it, please tag them in the comments

We're hiring a Marketing Lead (Content) at UXHack
Our honest problem: good at shipping things, creating raw content. But how best to take it to our TG is now a challenge for us. Come and solve for us.

This is an early, high ownership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys figuring things out, experimenting fast and building distribution from scratch.

We are a fully remote startup and operate asynchronously.

What the role involves

  • Building awareness for UXHack initiatives across relevant channels and communities
  • Identifying and executing content themes that attract young and aspiring PMs, designers and builders
  • Creating and shipping consistent weekly content across formats: reels, shorts, carousels, event content, social proof, feature/initiative explainers
  • Tracking performance and making data-driven decisions on what to double down on
  • Growing our video-first presence, especially on Instagram and YouTube
  • Thinking creatively about distribution of content

What we are looking for

  • Someone who has shaped marketing at an early stage startup or as an independent creator
  • Understands internet culture, short-form content and audience behaviour
  • Can edit and repurpose raw video content
  • Conceptualise, create and edit digital videos like explainers
  • Good understanding of reels/shorts ecosystems and what performs there
  • Is data-driven and can judge impact quickly
  • Strong async communicator

Good to have

  • Comfortable using AI tools in workflows
  • Has an interest in products, design and creator ecosystems

Completely remote. Flexible work timings. 6 months contract.
Rs 40k is our monthly budget to start with. Happy to increase a bit based on the traction we get

No resumes, just share insta or yt shorts you have created for a startup or for yourself.

For all bootstrapped founders, how you cracked marketing/got your first marketing hire?

So we are bootstrapping our startup (edtech/community). Have grown so far to 15k users.

However it has been all random so far. We have not been able to crack marketing.

What I mean by that is that we would like to put efforts in marketing in such a way that it helps improve our baseline traffic (awareness) from say x to 5x say in Y months.

after Y months, the baseline should shift irrespective of what we do afterwards.

So I am not sure what this hire looks like for a bootstrapped startup? Because I know one has to trade off somewhere.

So looking for some best practices who have already crossed this road, how did you do it?
