I received a notification today that my notes, which I only sync to iCloud for privacy reasons, are now going to be uploaded to Notability's cloud service. I don't want that. Is there any way to stop this or are we stuck with either using Notability cloud or leaving the service? I've been using this for so many years, I really don't want to go. Notability has been my favorite note taking app for years. But I cannot have my notes uploaded to anyone's servers but one where I control the encryption and storage, which is iCloud exclusively right now. Notability's privacy policy for notes uploaded to their own servers allows the company far more access to my notes than I'd ever want them to have.

So, is there a way to stop this, or am I moving all my notes over to some other service?

None of my apps that detect location have been able to do so. I wondered if there could be permission issues, but found that the settings for locations seem to be messed up, as you can see in this screenshot, Breezy Weather is not using the Calendar permission, it's trying to use location, but it doesn't seem to be labeled right (and location does not work in this app).

Permissions are pointing to the camera permission or just say a generic "permission" message instead of actually showing the location item.

I can't help but wonder if the location permission is being provided properly. It could be other issues, but none of the apps I've used that detect location on device seem to work. While I know third party applications that rely on Google Play Services for location shouldn't work, any that use Android's Location Manager for network or gps access _should_ still work, right? Even if GPS failed, there should be a fallback for, say, when someone's indoors, to use network information to get a coarse location, right?

Edit: GPS does work. It's just there's no network provider fallback. However, the permission issue does persist.

I used Reddit's flawless search function (okay, it has gotten better) and found this had come up a few times before. There was a thread asking for preferences for TPU vs silicone, with most users seemingly supporting TPU. I would love something that was clear or like the lovely red mockup in that thread. That would be my perfect Sidephone case. The silicone is quite annoying in the pocket. Also I worry it's not protective enough. And it would be fun to customize it with a lanyard, charms, or stickers.

Plus, I mean, this guy totally offered his firstborn to make it happen. That's a good deal!

Was there ever a decision to take him up on it? Or even just make one without such pacts?

Are there any plans to offer 1Password in an app pack for utilities or security? My passwords are all far too long to try to input manually all the time, and 1Password is kind of the gold standard for password storing.

I'm sure I wasn't the only one excited to see the new gamepad for the Sidephone. As much as I want the Sidephone to be less distracted, getting a few small games in instead of getting trapped in a scrolling loop is definitely welcome.

So... I ordered one last night. However, my Sidephone has not shipped yet. I saw that if you combine orders, it wouldn't ship until July, when previously it was expected to be delivered in early June. So I didn't opt to combine my orders.

However, it seems Sidephone's system did it automatically for me. Convenient, but worrisome.

Anyone know if this will affect shipping? I'd still prefer to get my Sidephone first, gamepad later.

This made it seem like I could place an order and NOT request them be combined to ship in July. I just want to make sure that, despite my orders being combined without my asking, this won't happen
