I am desperately in need of help. I'm currently studying for my medical school entrance exams and my notability app got frozen so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now all my notes are gone even though I had them uploaded to icloud, box and one drive. It says I am not an active subscriber even though I have the classic. I am unsure of what to do because this has all my school work and I am days away from my exam.

I am also trying to import all 785 of my notes from my cloud but it says that I have reached my limit. Please help me out.

I am on the notability cloud but when I open the web app on chrome, I can see all my notes under notes but none of it is under the folders/subjects where they belong. All the folders say "contains no notes". Anyone else have this issue? Every single folder/subject is empty and all my notes are just under the "notes" on the left hand side.

I'm trying to understand why this is not a thing. Write notes in Notability --> Export to PDF --> open in Adobe Reader on Windows --> i see a flattened note with no searchable text.

In notability, the same text is searchable, and that part works well! no lasso tool or anything needed. In the exported PDF in adobe, nothing. how do i make this work? Help!

Why is my Notability cloud taking so long to upload my notes? It’s been 24 hours since I started, and it has a tendency to stop for hours at a certain percentage. I’ve had to constantly restart my iPad just to make it progress. Right now, it’s been stuck at 95% for the last 5 hours. I am sick of this. I had to take two major exams today without my notes because of this. Is there any way to switch back to iCloud?

I have noticed my battery on my iPad (Air M2) is draining SO FAST with notability.

It's crazy. I just dropped 30% in less than 20 minutes. I have used the app for 3h12m today and it's taken 136% battery capacity. On Wednesday I used it for 4h18m and it used 209% battery capacity!

It also heats up my iPad insanely fast (I even had to put it in the fridge for 10 minutes to cool it down. I never have this issue with any other apps I use....

And before the Notability account recommends it... I have already updated the app to the newest version released yesterday. I have a pro account. AI is not enabled. I don't have third party back-up, and I only have the app open on one device at a time (either my Macbook or iPad, never the same time). I tried not having my hand touching the screen while writing. I've even turned off background app refresh for it. I can't even use my iPad while it's charging because it messes up the battery and heats up the iPad so much more.

This is getting unbearable. I don't know what to do anymore. Please can anyone tell me what to do/how to fix this? (Other than moving to Antarctica or installing an electric car battery in my iPad)

Is anyone else experiencing the app freezing when they hit the new note button?

This has been happening since the app just updated to 16.2.3

I’m using Notability 16.2.2 on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1.

When I try to export a note as RTF using:

File → Export → RTF…

nothing happens. No save dialogue opens, no file is created, and no error message appears.

PDF export works normally, so it seems specific to the RTF export option rather than exporting in general.

Has anyone else encountered this issue on Mac?

This app has gone downhill, so frustrating. Nothing works, it freezes, super slow, absolutely ridiculous.

anyone having issues with syncing between MacBook and iPad after updating to notability cloud? whatever I do on one does not seem to update to other. Im logged into the same account. Didn't have this issue with iCloud before

Anyone else been noticing super weird bugs on Notability for Ipad lately? Things keep snapping weirdly when moved, the edit menu doesnt display correctly (only shows paste sometimes) and the program just freezes. Also it doesnt go back to the last used subject but rather my random notes. Never experienced it to be this buggy before

Is anyone else getting constantly disrupted by the Home Indicator line that IOS causes to appear at the bottom of the screen when working in Notability. Ever since the last IOS update, I keep stumbling on that line specifically when working in Notability. To the point it’s just disruptive of continuous work. Was curious if anyone else is experiencing this and what was the change that surfaced this problem as swiping was always a feature.

Previously, I could adjust my lines with the pen (length and angle), but after the update, I can’t do that anymore. Does anyone know if it’s me or the program?

Can someone help me? I have contacted support with no reply back yet and I need to know what to do to either get out of the beta or else just get back into the app (without the notability sync turned on). I’ve tried safe mode and that doesn’t work. I am on the beta currently which I’ve been testing for several months now. About 2 weeks ago I received a notification inside the app which allowed me to sync to notability cloud and so I did. I was excited to finally get off of apple icloud. But when I went to research if anyone else was having crashing issues, I saw several others were. I also noticed on the company’s website that beta users should‘t be using their cloud service. Why did I get the option to do so then? Why would I get this option while on beta? And why wasn’t there a message that prevented me from doing it if I wasn’t supposed to? Anyway, this is when the problem with crashing began. I did see where the sync had gotten up to 54% before it crashed but I haven’t been able to get into the app since. It immediately crashes upon starting. I’ve tried safe mode, etc, rebooting, etc. I know the company is probably working on this and I trust that they care but I just would like to receive a message back from them or information on other things I can try in meantime because I work in this app several times a day and haven’t found anything to replace it.
