Can the U5G use an ATT Premium 2.0 or Elite 2.0 plan?

Usage case is an odd one- we’re a yacht and have used Starlink. With the recent changes to Starlinks pricing and plans we’re looking at going back to cellular when we’re coastal.
Historically we used a PepWave mobile router, but now our entire system is UI and I would like to keep it that way if possible. I understand the U5G is meant as a backup, we would be using it as our primary.

Looking at those ATT plans as that’s what we use on our phones and have great connection in Central America.

Open to suggestions!

GL65 switched to PTM7950 and Upsiren putty

I know this is probably an incredibly obvious post. But if you’re debating on refreshing your GL65, do not hesitate. Very straight forward.

One note- I could not figure out what thickness pads to use… so I just did a few large balls of putty for a few of the chips….

Temps went from an average of high 90’s during games to mid 80’s. Fans don’t even turn on during idle / light usage anymore.

Anyone replace the LM with PTM7950?

I can’t stand the idea of Liquid Metal and I travel too much (laptop on its side) so I’m debating on replacing the material. Anyone done this lately?

Custom fan curves

There has to be some way of altering the system OEM files to adjust the fan curves. My fans never hit 100% even with the CPU at/over 100°c.

Any time I’m gaming I have to put the fans in manual mode and put it on the second from max setting to keep it under 90.

FanControl does not work.

Hey guys, been a SL user since Beta. Just got a mini and I’m looking for some accessory ideas. Usage case would be rather common- keep it in my backpack and use it when I need it. With that said I’m not interested in heavy battery packs, would need something that can power it for 3 hours at most since I wouldn’t turn it on and sit on it. I’ve looked into the Apache 3800 but seems too bulky…
I really like the Peakdo battery but the price seems egregious… would like to hear thoughts about it here since most YouTube videos talking about seem like ads.

TIA
