What lurks under the mithral forge?

Hey,

The troglodytes in the mithral forge are said to have fled the same primordial creature that killed the cerberus, but this primordial beast isn’t explicitly named, and if my players end up speaking with the trog king ( which they will definitely do ), they will certainly ask him what led them to invade the mine.

What kind of primordial thing do you think could live underground, come to kill a big three-headed puppy, and then disappear, leaving pretty much no identifying trace in the map? The dead cerberus shows no sign of burns or anything of the sort, it’s been probably killed by some stomach injury? So maybe a dendar-like snake?

What killed the cerberus in your games?

Quick question about demetria’s sister tree

Hey guys, i was wondering how the tree was before it was cut down.
Was it kinda small, even though the trunk seems very large in the map? Or was it very big and piercing through the roof ( which is in the book 20ft only above the ground) , and in that case there should be a big hole in the above ground?

Or was the above temple constructed after it was cut down?

This might not be that important but i don’t really understand how this works :-)

What lore should be learnt where?

Hey everyone,
I started DMing this wonderful module on roll20 5e with irl friends as players. They’ve played rpgs for a very long time, but it’s their first experience with dnd.

They are currently in Estoria, and they plan on protecting a chained anora through the night. They didnt do any great labor yet, but they want to start with the mossy temple.

They spoke with pythor, volkan, aesop, braeca ( who is in my game the head of sydon church in estoria), and i’ve been having a hard time knowing what exactly to tell them.
My players are used to investigation rpgs, and they spend a lot of time talking with npcs, looking for secrets or lore clues, and i’d like to reward them, but i’m afraid to give them too much. I made it as if aesop knew pretty much nothing about the oath of peace content, nor the kind of creatures sydon would send to consume the sacrifices at the rock… even though aesop should be smarter than that, i guess

Did any of you have the same issue? Or did you have a lore-dump planning you could share?

Thanks!

Should I buy nine sols ?

Hey guys,
I wanted to buy nine sols, having read very nice things about the game, but i’m very scared of the difficulty…

For reference, i’ve been playing metroidvania for a while now ( started with the first metroid on NES as a kid, lol ), but i dont think i’m a very good player.

I can finish metroid dread comfortably, even though the first time i played it , i died a lot on bosses before learning the patterns. Same with prince of persia: i feel pretty good on platforming parts, but i have to try bosses several times before i do it right.
I’m currently playing hollowknight ( first game), and it’s pretty easy for now. I’m not that far into the game though.

With these references of my lowish skill, would i hit a wall if i try nine sols?

Thanks for your opinions on this 👍
