3 steps to retirement larp

Being neet sucks mentally sometimes. I’m trying to bring myself to get training for a job I actually like by next year (2026 the last of neet life for me I’m kind of hoping but I also go back and forth). These are my personal rules that help me go from anti wage slave doomer mentality to basically larping a retired senior citizen

  1. Sobriety- no alc no drugs no weed no anything

  2. No social media except reddit and long format YouTube

  3. Going Outside. Even if just standing there for 30 seconds. Forces me to get out of bed/put shorts on &move a little. I Usually put on headphones and I make this a walk when it’s sunny. It always feels bad going out but once out I don’t mind it too much.

It kinda sounds like a lot at first and probably not for everyone but if your reasoning for being neet is societal related/ not wanting to be a wage slave then these are the best/easiest ways I’ve found to make it not feel so bad. Mental health still takes dives but by following these it makes me feel more in control and I find way more manageable than something generic like “go to the gym” which is a whole trip, interactions, and investment in general. Just a personal anecdote - trying to be positive hope everyone can find something that works for them

SIM card/ Verizon carrier for MP02

Just pledged for the MP02. It looks fantastic and seems like it has potential to be a solid primary device rather than a secondary phone.

I don’t have experience with the MP01, but I saw there were some issues regarding calls, connection and specific cellular carriers. I currently use Verizon on an iPhone 13 mini and I’m hoping the issues I’ve been reading about for the MP01 will be fixed in the MP02. Is the MP02 looking to be officially Verizon-certified, or will it be supported through the same type of physical-SIM workaround that some MP01 users have used?

I’m wondering whether the MP02 will have Verizon recognize/whitelist the MP02’s IMEI for the SIM to work, or whether an already-active Verizon SIM can simply be moved into the MP02 like MP01 users have reported doing.

I like the phone by itself and I’d also like to keep my current number and have reliable connection.
