Car still thinks it is at work when I get home.

I have a Polestar 2, and posted about this before without other people having the same problem. My P2 thinks it is still at work in the app, but totally routed me home on Google Maps. Apparently the GPS is supposed to update where you parked when you open the driver's door, but this is only accurate for me 50% of the time 2 months into ownership. All location services are activated/allowed. Wrong location in the app is driving me crazy, just a little bit!

I have brought it up with support who recommended TCAM and infotainment reset which I did in that order, but it came back. Anyone else with this issue, and what did you do to resolve?

Lastly, because I did a TCAM reset then infotainment reset, now the TCAM demister button method does not work for a reset. Ughhh.

Mobile Detail Job on Polestar 2

Just got this beautiful mobile detail but saw that I could not remedy tree sap that had cracked/damaged the paint from the last owner. It is hard to notice unless you are really close up (ex opening doors). Nice looking car when it's all cleaned up though! Just wanted to share.

Showing wrong location in the app

I just dealt with the app offline issue a couple weeks ago, and tonight once I got home, it thinks that my car is still at the work parking lot. I checked the journey log in the car that definitely knows where I am and my commute location and time.

I do not want to install and reinstall the app to lose all my settings. Does anyone else have this and is it a TCAM reset or just wait for it to resolve itself like other issues have?

Thanks in advance! I just want to make sure I am not going crazy.

Detailing?

I just CPO 2024 Polestar 2 in Midnight. Beautiful color! However there are some signs of wear and tear from outdoor parking from the previous owner. If anyone else has detailed your P2, do you use a shop? A come to you detailer? The local outdoor carwash? And, how were the results?

Thanks!

Was able to get tire patched on Polestar 2

Just wanted to put this out here because other threads and forum posts helped me out. I am about 1 month into a CPO Polestar 2 ownership, and I got a nail in my tire. The dealer told me that you can't patch these tires because of how they are made. In the same sentence, they discussed an option to buy a tire warranty.

Other Reddit threads and Polestar forums clearly said that tire shops can definitely patch EV tires, so I went for it at a place that does patching for free (American Tire Depot). I was pleasantly surprised that it was free for real and got a same day job today.

I had earlier this week taken it to Polestar Los Angeles for blowing out the 12V in the trunk using a different air compressor than stock, and they checked tire pressures but I was not yet aware that it was a nail causing the leak. That was covered under warranty thankfully (but technically could be considered not under warranty).

Polestar Los Angeles is much farther than the many tire places down the street or Costco for my tire needs.

TLDR, you can get your EV tire patched at a local tire place even if Polestar says you can't. Also, use the air compressor in the official repair kit and not another that can blow the 12V.

Also, totally loving my 2024 Polestar LRDM in Midnight, but a bit of a tank after upgrading from a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. I have already made use of the safety features!

Did the Elliptical step counting bug get fixed in the latest update?

Just updated my watch to the June update. Step counting during workouts has been broken since March and I have been using "Treadmill" instead. Anyone else try out their usual activity, elliptical or otherwise?

Thanks for sharing in advance!

Step counts way off since yesterday evening (PW4 Wifi)

Fitbit on the phone is working well (I woke up and had 20 steps), but my watch is saying I already did >8K steps just moving my wrist around. Anyone with this same issue? I will try reporting through the Pixel Watch app (not confident this will do anything). Not sure if this is due to the upcoming updates with Google Health.
