My new to me 2022 Bronco

I picked up this 2022 Badlands Sasquatch with 60k miles on it. I feel like I overpaid (just because of the fees and what not). It is the 7-speed manual and has all the bells and whistles (except cooled seats because that’s not an option).

It has been amazing for the couple of weeks I’ve had it and I can’t wait to go on more adventures and trips in it!

Saying bye to my Ranger🥲

Insurance wants to total my truck for very minor frame damage and the bed being screwed up.

I love this truck and will have to total it. But that gives me two options: get a Bronco with a manual or another Ranger.

I don’t want a crew cab, so most likely I’ll be getting the Bronco I’m looking at. The Ranger I am also looking at is an FX4 Lariat and it’s a 2021, so a year older. The Bronco has 60k more miles than the Ranger (29k) but is around the same price… so probably going with the Bronco.

The Ranger was great, very fun and I will miss it.

Thoughts on the Shield X???

I’m leaning towards a Shield X for a carry gun. I love how slim it is. It has a nice weight to it and is comfortable to handle.

However, I need to get on the range with one before I decide. The other model I’m thinking about is the M&P 2.0 in 9mm or 10mm. I need hands on with both.

I have plenty of replica airguns (.177) and out of the bunch that I have, the M&P 9 M2.0 feels the best. I also currently have an IWI Jericho 941 in 9mm. It’s hard to find good holsters for it, so carrying that isn’t something I do.

I understand this is a lot, but just curious what people would recommend!

NYC 250th flyover F-16 and F-22

OT tail F-22 with a Holloman F-16 (and another not in frame). The flyover was absolutely amazing!

RCAF MRTT short take off from CYHZ, CH-149 Cormorant and CP-140 Aurora out of CYZX

I recently took a trip to Nova Scotia. That trip was mainly to see the CH-149 (and I lucked out).

I was in the right place at the right time apparently. I spotted a CC-130 and a RCAF MRTT at Halifax Stanfield International. The MRTT was taxiing and took off VERY SHORT! When I say short, it wasn’t even half way down the runway!

I then went to CFB Greenwood (super nice museum there) to see what would be flying. First plane to leave was a CC-295. That was my first Kingfisher/CASA. I’m used to the white CASAs that the US Coast Guard uses. Yellow looks good on the CASA!

I later drove up to a spot over looking the base (a suggestion from someone at the museum) and got to see a CH-149 on ground. I saw a CP-140 doing touch and goes and decided to head back to the museum to get closer shots.

I got a snack and drink from my cooler while waiting for the Aurora to come back around when I heard… a helicopter. I looked and looked all around the sky until I locked my eyes on the CH-149! Damn, I was happy. I was told they don’t fly often and also told they’d be flying later in the week.

It just so happens that they were doing jump training. So It ended up working out PERFECTLY!!

TL;DR: I saw some aircraft I wanted to see during my Canada trip. They were exciting.

Rear suspension makes clunking sound when riding over bumps

(RESOLVED: it was the upper shock bolt on rear passenger shock!)

I’m trying to figure out what this could be. The truck drives fine with now handling issues.

It only makes the sound from up and down motion. Rocking the truck from the side, it doesn’t really make the sound.

I’m wondering if it’s the leaf springs… or just a loose bracket somewhere… anyone else run into this issue?
