Apparently threatening students in the name of god is called 'nationalism'
All hell has broken loose. Simply identifying yourself as a Jadavpur University student is now enough to get you brutally assaulted and getting tagged as 'anti-nationals' and 'terrorists' by BJP-RSS-ABVP mobs
Tonight, two JU students entering Gate No. 1 of the university were approached and interrogated by a group of these goons. The moment they confirmed they were from JU, the mob brutally attacked them. In the terrifying chaos that followed, one of the students even went missing for an hour.
Meanwhile, the terrorization wasn't just confined to the streets. In a completely unprovoked attack, ABVP JU Unit President Nikhil Das entered the campus itself and inflicted violence on students who were peacefully conducting an ongoing General Body (GB) meeting.
This planned terrorization of college campuses by these fascist forces has crossed all limits, and it is an open attack on our fundamental right to safe campus spaces, free speech, and democratic student organization. These coordinated assaults are not isolated incidents; they are a calculated attempt to instill fear and crush the progressive, dissenting spirit that Jadavpur University has always stood for.
