I’m exploring a startup idea and would genuinely love honest feedback before building it. Right now, finding a trustworthy contractor is tough. People mostly rely on referrals from relatives or friends, and contractors don’t really have a platform to showcase their work. So the idea is a space where contractors can create profiles and show completed projects, photos, budgets, timelines, client reviews, kind of like LinkedIn or Behance but for construction. Another feature could let homeowners post projects, say if I want to build a house, I can share details and interested contractors can request site visits or submit quotations. Long term, it could connect homeowners with architects, interior designers, electricians, plumbers, everyone involved in building a house. I’d love honest criticism. Would you use something like this? If you’re a homeowner, what information would help you trust a contractor? And if you’re a contractor, would you maintain a profile like this? Why or why not?
