Series of Old Hollywood Ladies

Hey all!

I'm making a series of illustrations of some of the most iconic old hollywood(ish) ladies for my grandma's 80th birthday, and I thought maybe you all would enjoy them, too. I'm planning on doing 18 total, but here's the first crop of them.

Featuring (in no particular order): Anna May Wong, Audrey Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, Ingrid Bergman, Katharine Hepburn, and Rita Moreno.

Granada Dancing Men Fanart

Hey everyone!

A few weeks ago, I did a collage illustration based off of Granada's adaptation of A Scandal in Bohemia, and I decided to continue that idea and move on to the next episode, The Dancing Men. I don't know if I will do this with every single episode or just my favorite ones, but so far the two categories are one and the same, so I can put off that decision for a while yet. Anyway, hope you like it!

Breaking Bad Mini-Zine

Hey all!

My dad's a huge Breaking Bad fan, so I made him this mini-zine for Father's Day. I thought you all might enjoy it, too. Feel free to print it out yourselves if you like!

Favorite/Least Favorite Episodes?

This is such a basic question, but given that nobody talks about this show (or at least, nobody in my life), I would love to know what everybody's favorite and/or least favorite episodes are.

I love almost every single episode of this show, so my favorites change from day to day, but some of the ones that are at the top of my list most consistently are: Gear Jammers (Jim and Rocky are the heart of the show), Crack Back (I love all Beth-centric episodes, but this one really highlights her character), Trouble in Chapter 17 (feminist Jim Rockford written by Juanita Bartlett is the sexiest thing this show has ever done), So Help Me God (you know it's serious when there's an end card condemning the real life justice system), and any of the large-scale con-based ones (The Farnsworth Stratagem, Never Send a Boy King to Do a Man's Job, etc).

In terms of my least favorite episodes, the only one I truly do not like is The Prisoner of Rosemont Hall. There is something about the tone of that one that is so off. That, and I thought that the college advisor being in a relationship with the college freshman who was under her purview (and how she talked about it ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE BRINGS IT UP TO HIS MOM AT HIS FUNERAL YIKES) was pretty weird. But then the episode right after that is The House on Willis Avenue, which I love!

Seth in The Infamous Bigamy Episode

Okay so I know this is like... probably the least insane thing about Weave a Tangled Web, but was anybody else super caught off guard by Seth's extremely sexist rant when he's driving Jessica to the airport?

I know after this episode they say some offhand things about Seth being a chauvinist but up until that point I don't recall him saying anything remotely close to that. It was always Amos who was the sexist one as far as I can recall (not that it's uncommon for more than one man to be sexist, but just as far as they wrote the characters prior to this). I know he calls Jessica "woman", but that always read as like a term of endearment to me and even if that is supposed to read as him being chauvinistic it is not even close to the "women belong in the kitchen" rant he goes on. I mean, I'm glad it sets up Jessica to be her feminist icon self, but I was pretty disappointed in the way it nuked Seth so severely. And that they kind of commit to that character trait after that. Especially since, as far as I can remember, it came out of nowhere. I still like Seth as a character, don't get me wrong, but that really confused me.

Again, this is probably the least concerning thing that happens in the episode since the whole bigamy plot is completely unhinged, but I just wanted to know what other people thought or if I'm maybe misremembering things and Seth was always Like That.

Jessica Fletcher Fanart

Hey everyone! I've become completely obsessed with Jessica Fletcher lately, so here's some sketches I did of her for fun. The second image is actually a mini-zine I made for my mom for mother's day, hence the two images with some of them being upside down. Feel free to print it out and make it yourself if you like!

Side note: Since I actually started watching Murder, She Wrote, I'm honestly mad at the way people tend to talk about this show as "the old lady solves mysteries show" because that is not how her character reads at all. I mean, of course she is an older lady, but I've seen people describe her as if she's like Miss Marple or something. I know Angela Lansbury put a lot of work into making her NOT read that way and it annoys me that just because she's an older lady people call her "matronly" or "dowdy" and whatnot. She's glamorous and fun and slightly unhinged in the best way! This is what I focused on in my silly little sketches, so I hope you like them!

Granada Holmes Fanart

Hey all!

I just finished all of Granada Holmes and as an excuse to immediately rewatch it, I decided to do a collage/painting of a bunch of scenes from A Scandal in Bohemia. I'm considering doing this for multiple episodes since I love the show itself as well as its cinematography and set design, so we'll see which ones I end up gravitating towards (or if I have the energy to do this multiple times haha). Hope you like it!

Hey everyone! These are some sketches of good old Jimbo I did a while back when I was first getting into the show. I simply can't get enough of this guy!
