My first post here:

I underwent a pretty harsh antibiotic treatment with Pylera to eradicate Helicobacter pylori. Since then, I’ve been struggling with insomnia and also experiencing pain under my ribs on both the left and right sides.

Falling asleep is not really the problem — I usually fall asleep quite well. But I keep waking up around 4 or 5 a.m. and then can’t get back to sleep.

Do you have any recommendations on how to rebuild and support the gut microbiome — both for improving sleep and for overall well-being?

Maybe somebody experiencing the same :(

Hi everyone,

I’m 33 years old and was treated for a Helicobacter pylori infection. I went through a pretty intense antibiotic therapy (Pylera + PPI for 10 days) and tested negative 8 weeks later.

Since then, I’ve been dealing with significant sleep problems. For the past 4 weeks, I’ve also had to cough whenever I speak, along with chest pain—mostly under the lower ribs on the left side, but sometimes on the right as well.

I’ve been trying to sleep on my left side, as often recommended in various groups, and I’m currently taking slippery elm, vitamin C, magnesium, zinc, B12, and mastic gum.

Has anyone experienced similar symptoms or found anything that helped? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
