Genetic Cardiomyopathy testing

Hi all! I had a very bad experience at a cardiologist, was basically denied help. Want to know if others were able to get help for a similar situation.

I went to a cardiologist and he said genetic testing was not possible because my father never had genetic testing. Best they can do is an echo. Is that right? Will I never know if I have genetic traits for heart failure that could kill me in my forties until it happens? It just doesn’t seem right.

Background; My father passed at 52 from Non ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy. He had his first cardiac arrest at 42. Nobody told me I should get genetically tested (we don’t know why my father had it - he never got tested), until now. Now I talk to older family members and they say things like “oh yeah someone told me 8 years ago you seriously need to get tested and idk it slipped my mind”.

Door handle ripped off

The driver side exterior door handle on my 2018 Hyundai Tucson was ripped off sometime last night. They left the door handle on the ground next to my car. Was this an attempted break in? Or just a someone checking if it was unlocked and pulled to hard?

A while back, someone tried messing with the key hole and they messed it up so bad I don’t think anyone could get it unlocked by that lol. But it doesn’t look like it was messed with any further on this time around.

I also have a Club on my steering wheel. My partner’s theory is that they saw the Club, and got pissed to just ripped the handle off anyways lol. But I also saw on Reddit sometimes thieves do this to “mark” the car and will come back later.

Just wondering out of curiosity because I’m genuinely confused why someone would rip the handle off and leave it at that. Super thankful I still have my car though!
