So far I absolutely hate the soul DLC. Meat not doing anything

I'm trying to heal the soul with meat and it worked before but now it's doing nothing. I have used 8 shards trying to add skulls to the meat.

(New player, or at least I want to be) I might be too stupid for this game. Rant/help

I have played for 3 hours and haven't done diddly squat. I can't get into the church because my graveyard isn't clean enough, and I don't have have enough stone cleaners and can't find or make them because they're in the church I can't go inside. (Love catch-22) I can't make money besides the grave digging, since no one buys anything from you (makes sense though) and every meteral I need is either too expensive or unattainable.

Edit: Thanks for the advice. This is a nice community. Also, got the church now. Now just need to get prayers and science points. Now that I can make metal parts it's way easier. Teleport stone is GOAT
