I read that people who are deaf in one ear tend to have a lower IQ and higher chance of developing dementia when they are older

I was either born with one ear deaf or I developed it at a very, very young age for no known reason. Doctors ran multiple different tests on me and could not find the cause. I don't wear hearing aids.

The thing about how being deaf in one ear can affect intelligence and brain health worries me, though I do really well in school and having one deaf ear barely affects my life. I hate marco polo and there are times when I have trouble hearing people from the bad side but it doesn't happen that much. Those are the only things that it affects in my life. I know that just because some studies said there were patterns doesn't mean that all people like me are affected that way, but I worry about stuff a lot. Being dumb and getting dementia are some of my worst fears. Is this gonna affect my brain and how can I prevent it? Is being deaf in one ear making me dumber? What even about being deaf on one ear causes those things? Should I get hearing aids?

How to make life feel less empty and depressing when you don't have friends and stay home all day?

- I can't make friends in my situation don't ask
- I'm able to go out
- I'm with my parents
- Every day is filled with shame and dread which makes me more depressed and demotivated
- I'm a teenager

Fear of suffering from a neurodegenerative disease/dementia

I'm pretty young and I know that this almost always occurs in old people, and by the time I reach the age of concern, there would likely be prevention or a cure. Something about it terrifies me and gives me this deep sense of dread though. I've heard of spontaneous cases of these types of diseases happening in very young people. There are times where I am forgetful or my brain is foggy and I worry about this. I don't even know of any family who suffered from these diseases, not even very old people in my family so I'm lucky. I know it's pointless to think about and it will never happen but I still worry. There was a period of my life where I was quite isolated and unproductive, and I'm deaf in one ear which barely impacts my life. I heard those can increase the chances of developing dementia when I'm older, but I'm probably fine.

Can my school see what I do on my personal account on my personal computer at home if my school account is on it?

Hi, I'm a student in Texas. I'm using my personal computer for school as computers aren't provided here. I have one Chrome profile for my personal account and another for my school account. I only use the school account Chrome profile for classwork. Will the school be able to see my activity, search history, etc. on my personal account at home since it's the same device? My teacher said no, but I'm paranoid that I will make a mistake and they will somehow see it. I know they can see everything when I use it at school because I'd be using the school WI-FI, but when I'm using it at home, can they still see personal stuff there?
