Going No-Makeup- Am I Too Glowy?

So I never wear makeup and in preparation for my wedding I have gone deep into beautifying my skin as much as possible for the big day in just a couple weeks!

I’m going to be wearing no makeup except a lip tint, light shimmer eyeshadow and lash extensions and concealer if any unexpected blemishes pop up.

Question is, does my face look too dewy from my skincare (especially for photos) or should I embrace the “glass skin" look

My Mom Keeps Trying To Buy Things But We Have A Massive Wealth Discrepancy

My Mom has raised me and my siblings by herself our whole lives. She really struggled to give us opportunities in early life that have set me up to have the wonderful life I do. Now the issue is with my wedding fast approaching next month she suddenly wants to pay for anything and everything that gets brought up. Ex. I tell her I’m talking with my florist and then she says she wants to buy my bouquet. I don’t tell her the actual price of things because I know she would stretch herself to get it for me but when I tell her a lower price she says I don’t want the "Mom Price". Then when I tried to offer that she get me things that I know are in her price range (cake cutter for example) she gets it then asks for the next high ticket item price. She won’t even let me pay for my family’s accommodation! (I try to e-transfer her and she never accepts it)

For context my fiancé makes her yearly salary in a month and we are paying for our entire wedding ourselves (minus my cake cutter).

Have any of you guys been in a similar situation? If so, how did you handle it?

Non-Drinkers What Beverages Did You Have?

Having a day time family-only (moderate to heavy drinkers) wedding and my fiancé and I don’t drink. Although there will be a DJ and dancing it’s more of a get together vibe than a hardcore party. Having a plated Luncheon where they will also serve drinks. I personally love anything carbonated and ideally all the drinks would have some cohesion.

What non-alcoholic beverages did you have? Would having wine (red and white) as the only alcoholic beverage look sparse? I feel like I would feel left out if there was champagne popping and I didn’t have any.

Vintage Wedding Gown Re-Design

Hello all, I am looking for a seamstress/ dress maker who would be able to redesign (add corset, change neckline and add Bardot sleeves) my vintage gown before late July. I know it’s a time crunch but any help would be very much appreciated!

Am I Totally Nuts For This?

My fiancé and I had planned on having a micro-wedding (15 people, family only) this summer. I have all of the details conceptually figured out and my dress but absolutely nothing booked. We had planned to have the wedding in the backyard of our new home which was “promised" to have a completion date for latest end of May. Surprise, surprise it’s not ready- but we are! Would it be totally crazy/ even possible to acquire a planner, lakeside estate etc. and book our wedding day for the end of July? I figure things we have on our side are that it’s a small group size also that we are super flexible with date (even middle of the week) and budget.

I’m about to jump in head first and I would appreciate any and all advice!

I’m a 29f who’s marrying into a discreetly wealthy family. I used to hop over the subway turnstiles just to be able to get to school and now I’m in a position to start a charity to help underprivileged youth. Life is crazy like that, ask me anything.
