Blood Exposure - HIV RISK
Hello - a week back, i had the following incident-
I visited a massage parlor, massage parlor lady was testing for some blood test using a finger prick by lancet. She has some blood on her finger, around 15 minutes later she gave me a hand job using the same hand with pricked finger which probably had same blood.
I panicked and asked her to stop as i remember she had blood on her finger.
I am not sure what category this risk would be, as there are possibility of her hand having some blood and touching my urethra. Overnight i was very stressed and next day i went Urgent care and got pep, i started pep around 36 hours and i am still on prep.
I did ask drs on askexpertsnow they said this is no risk as its just skin touch, but they dont think urethra touching is any risk.
I asked the lady to take a test, she was okay and she did HIV RNA PCR Qualitative and HIV 4th Gen Ag/Ab lab test three days later which are non reactive.
I am not sure what should i do next? Should i continue the pep or stop it? Also i read that when blood exposures or blood splash happens to mucous membrane( eye/mouth/nose) in medical setting, if the source patient is tested negative they do not continue to have pep.
Has anyone been through this kind of exposure. I am more worried since it is blood exposure, if HIV RNA was in window period can they still transmit HiV.
Edit: i am aware if someone is undetected using rna, they cannot transmit it through sexual exposure, however i am not sure if its true for blood exposures. Also, not sure if my exposure is sexual or blood exposure to mucous membrane.
TLDR: had blood exposure on penis from masseuse pricked finger, got pep next day. Masseuse test d negative for RNA and Ag/Ab 3 days later, should i continue pep or stop it? Am i still at risk if RNA was in window period
