Hi everyone,

I had an experience while collecting graveyard dirt that left me wondering if I did something wrong. I went to a grave to collect dirt for a working, but I was in a bit of a hurry and didn't spend much time there. Looking back, I feel like I may not have properly introduced myself to the spirit, explained my intentions clearly enough, or spent enough time speaking with them before collecting the dirt.

While I was digging, my shovel actually broke. It made me stop and wonder if this could have been a sign that I hadn't approached the spirit correctly, or if I rushed the process too much. I did explain that the work was intended to help my brother, and after that things seemed to feel a bit different, but I'm still unsure how to interpret the situation.

Has anyone had a similar experience with a tool breaking while collecting graveyard dirt? Do you think it could indicate that I didn't properly communicate with the spirit, or could it just be one of those things that happens? I'd appreciate any thoughts or advice.
