There was an important moment in last night’s episode that revealed another GOP - Dem divided vision of the world

When Bill is worried that jet fuel might run out, Crenshaw basically tells Bill and Donna that the US isn’t going to run out. Europe might, other places too. We won’t.

He is saying - we will be fine, others will hurt.

Donna (amazingly) gets to how this will affect our alliances … which it will.

Even if our allies are overly dependent on us because of our resources, defense tech, etc. it seems Republicans are NOT worrying about how many, even Canada, are planning a long strategy on how to diversify away from the US.

They’ll play nice for the next decade, but they are peeling back.

As a Dem, this worries me, even if I agree with Trump and other Republicans that the EU and Gulf States squatted on US taxpayers for too long thinking we would do defense and police the shipping lanes eternally.

Crenshaw and other Republicans seem to WANT fortress America. A Great Wall without globalization.

Bill and Donna seem to understand how the 20th Century world order enriched America and made our allies mutually prosperous.

This episode was very revelatory on the differing POVs.
