I lost my husband 3 years ago and his brother is expected to inherit me.This is a culture that is widely practiced at my place. I am no open to this arrangement and it has been bothering me for quite sometime.

I have a daughter but my culture doesn't recognize her as the heir that's why my brother in-law wants to inherit me and take care of our property (land)

I really want to stay in my house and land and raise my daughter but my brother in-law has already started tilling my land and I cat take any action against him for my safety and that of my daughter.

Has anyone else been through this and how did you handle it?
