im so pissed. not even at the folks pressuring me per se but more at myself for giving into the pressure and not being more careful i was letting a portion of my lawn grow out knowing full well that there was a nest, not wanting to disturb it in any way. i mowed right over it killing 1 and maiming another horribly. idk man ive never accidentally killed an animal and this is rough as hell. 5 minutes later the mother and i assume father came back with food. i’m devastated. the parents seem to be “cleaning them up” but i just have no idea what to do and how to react to this. so i’m doing what we do and fucking post. i hate this place beyond measure.

Hey all - first time Defcon attendee - i paid the 580 but i'm wondering, since this is an electronic badge gear, does the badge come with the 580? will i need to purchase it separately? I'm really stoked on it after viewing the schematics and from their site. But they mention:

I think the last one was that cat shaped one that had all of the, ahem, interesting drama surrounding it, but I guess I'm wondering what I will need to do to secure a badge. I also know that a lot of folks will build their own bespoke badges that can range from free - 50 bucks or so. So i'll be sure to bring ~$500 in cash with me for that and various other things.

delete if not allowed or whatever but i’m going to vegas for the defcon nerd convention - my work is paying for me to go all expenses paid i guess im trying to see what there is to do besides the obvious or if anyone in the area wants to get together to get beers or something? i’ve never wanted to go to vegas - just never had the desire but ill be there 3 days and dont just want to spend it with coworkers. if you know cool’s spots let me know!

hurt myself twice in the last month - once literally rolling off of a 14 inch ledge i’ve hit before and just now while trying to rock to fakie on a very small quarter pipe seriously hurt my wrists both times. i’m considering getting pads for my wrists and likely elbows since i’ve broken an elbow in the past. i just don’t know if watching skate iq is enough. i’m incredibly stable and great with balance on flat ground. i think i just need to meet skaters in my area :/ feeling really upset man
