Workday question - Box Number

Hello! I was looking into applying for jobs as an upcoming freshman, one of the questions asks for my "box number", I'm assuming that's the place where my packages go, or something? Should I hold off on applying for jobs until I receive more information, such as my box number?

Also, I was looking for library jobs, but there don't seem to be any as of now. Do I have to wait for later in the summer until more postings are live?

I've also read that a lot of these postings won't actually get me a job, and I should email the employer personally to indicate I'm interested. Any particular way?

Overall, should I even try to apply early, or does it offer no benefit apart from the task being over? If I apply to several jobs and somehow get multiple offers, how bad would it look if I turn them down and then later on apply for that same job?

Thanks in advance!!

Can't login to Scholar Portal

I am following the instructions:

"Your Log In credentials: Username: the email address you provided to HSF. Password: your HSFID number followed by your last name in all lowercase letters. Example: 14000smith"

Yet it's saying it's incorrect and that I only have like one more attempt. I got the email that they have some issues, but others can at least login; I cannot. Unless they're rebooting and fixing the site right now, which is why I can't get in?

Financial steps once I turn 18

Hello! I’ll be turning 18 really soon and am thinking about how I should manage my money. I’ve taken financial classes before and have engaged in some stuff but I don’t have anything drilled to my mind.

I would like to open a checking account, I’ve read it’s best to open one through a local credit union so I’ll probably do that, hopefully under a student checking account if they offer it. I’ve also heard of the greatness of the Fidelity CMA, so I was wondering if I should be opening both? If I do, which one would I use as a “main checking account”, or is that more based off personal preference.

Then I’ll look into credit cards, I’ve heard to avoid banks like Bank of America, are there any other ones that have red flags? Chase seems to have a dependable name? I will probably get a Discover It card since I’ll have a better chance of getting approved for that.

Some other things I would like to start early is a High Yield Savings Account and a Roth IRA, but that’s more for when I get my checking account in order haha. But if there’s any suggestion for a specific HYSA then please share!!

Some info: I have cash savings which I’d like to deposit in my checking along with a check. When I go open my checking account, do I bring my cash/check the same day or am I supposed to go on a separate day?

Thanks a lot for the help! Sorry that it’s another similar financial question

Pre-orientation, meals?

Hello!

I was considering applying for a pre-orientation program such as the Bonner Community Fellowship one (I know it's four years). But while changing my meal plan to Flex 460 meal plan, it says that it only begins Sept. 2nd, yet the programs start a couple of days before then. Will we be given any extra meal swipes to supplement for the extra days?

Also, does anyone remember roughly what time move-in is for pre-orientation?

Thanks in advance!

Hello! I was wondering if I put how much money my college gave me in grants for part of the schoalrship section in the financial supplemental?

"List ALL scholarships, awards, and grants received." Is the wording so, I'm guessing so?

Sorry, just want to clarify!

Also for some questions that are somewhat repeats from the first round like "Family Net Worth" and "Hours Worked/Hourly Pay" I don't exactly recall what exact value I put, does it matter if it's a bit diffrent? Do they compare/double-check?
